Things to know about our estate sale.
An estate sale works like a retail store, with all items priced. Unlike an auction, there is no bidding process. After the initial day, each subsequent day offers a discount, culminating in a half-price sale on the final day.
1. Sign-In Procedures:
On the first day of the sale, sign-in begins at 7:00 AM or when I arrive. Customers will enter the sale in the order they sign in. Sign-in is exclusively for on-site customers. The sole list is the one I start at 6:15 AM. Public restrooms are not available.
2. Payment Methods:
Acceptable payment methods include cash, checks (if known), Venmo, Cash App, and credit/debit cards (4% processing fee).
3. Communication:
During the sale, customers are welcome to message or text to make purchases. However, if I am occupied with a customer, I may not respond immediately.
4. Liability:
I am not liable for accidents, illnesses, or any damage to your vehicle that may occur while on the premises, including the parking area.
5. Furniture Loading:
My staff does not assist with loading furniture. Customers must bring assistance to load items. You may return later in the sale to pick up purchases.
6. Holding Area:
A holding area is available adjacent to the checkout counter. Please do not shop in the holding area where other customers have placed items for purchase.
6. All of our sales are conducted within residential or commercial premises, rendering a drive-by inspection insufficient to convey the extent of the inventory.
7. Please refrain from obstructing driveways, mailboxes, or the street.
8. All items are sold “as is, where is.” Refunds, returns, and exchanges are not permitted. Please test any electric items before checkout.
9. In-person customers are given priority in selecting items over online customers. I am not always able to monitor or respond to comments or messages promptly. No items are sold prior to the sale, so expressing interest in an item does not guarantee its availability.
10. Please refrain from recording video footage at the estate sale without obtaining explicit permission from Kathleen.
