A bid is an agreement to these terms. Full Terms can be reviewed below.
Listing times have a soft close. Extra time will be added to the ending times on lots that receive bids within the final minutes, to allow all bidders a fair chance to win. This will give you time to place a higher bid in the final minutes of closing, and mimics what happens in a live auction where the auctioneer asks for any last bids before making the sale.
Caring Transitions offices are independently owned and operated; terms and conditions may vary. Please ensure you read and understand the terms and conditions for any office from which you purchase. A single bid is an agreement to these terms.
GENERAL:
A bid is an agreement to purchase the item(s). The highest bidder is committed to purchasing the won item(s) and to pickup item(s) during scheduled pickup times. You may appoint someone to pickup for you. Your bid is a commitment to understand and abide by scheduling & payment deadlines. Please do not bid if you do not plan to purchase, pay, schedule, and pickup your items on the advertised pickup day. You, or someone you appoint, MUST be available to pickup your purchases on the scheduled pickup date unless you have made prior shipping or delivery arrangements. Bidding privileges may be suspended for ALL storefronts if you default on any part of this agreement. Auction pickup locations change from auction to auction and are generally in the greater Tucson area. The general location of pickup (crossroads and zip code) is noted in the auction listing. The buyer is responsible for understanding all the deadlines, rules, and terms for each sale. The exact address and instructions for scheduling a pickup time will be on your Caring Transitions invoice.
BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS:
To place a bid on an item, you must first register for an account, and you must be signed in to place a bid.
You will see a bid box appear on each auction item listing.
Maintenance of Payment Information:
In order to place a bid or list an item, you must have valid payment information stored in your profile. By providing your credit/debit card information to Caring Transitions, you irrevocably authorize Caring Transitions to charge your primary card on file for the total purchase amount of any winning bid plus any fees associated with the sale of the item, including but not limited to taxes, shipping, and handling fees. You also agree and acknowledge that you will maintain valid payment information within your user profile so long as you maintain an account with Caring Transitions and that you are authorized to use the designated payment method. Caring Transitions reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel listings or bids or suspend bidding privileges of any user not maintaining valid payment information. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, we may collect amounts owed by charging other payment methods on file with us, and/or retain collection agencies and legal counsel. In addition, you may be subject to late fees and interest in Caring Transitions discretion which will not exceed the maximum amount permitted by applicable law.
DISCLAIMERS:
We have made every effort to describe items as accurately as possible, although photos will be the best representation for condition and damages. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. Please take advantage of the zooming rollover feature that appears when the mouse is rolled over images, as all defects, damages, and wear will not be described. We are not experts in every area of collectibles - though we do our very best. Concealed issues (not visible as we look at the item - interior wires, springs, mechanics, etc) will not be a case for refund as we do not take items apart. A picture says a thousand words, please refer to pictures for full condition and specific item details. Please note that you are purchasing the exact contents pictured and only what is pictured. If it is not pictured, then it is not included in this listing. If its not listed as tested and working assume broken. Precious metals are described as marked and are not acid tested. Gemstones are tested with a Presidium gem tester and it does not differentiate between natural and synthetic colored gemstones, gem types are only suggestions based on a Presidium tester gauge as it covers such a wide range of gems with overlapping data. We are not jewelers and none of our jewelry has had an independent assessment by a jeweler - unless noted otherwise. Bid accordingly.
We do NOT authenticate art. All art is sold as-is. We do our best to accurately describe every item we receive, but we are not certified authenticators. When buying used items, it is important to remember that every item is unique. We rely on our clients for item information, and/or if time allows a basic item search online. While our team makes its best efforts to identify any issues or mistakes, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy given our volume. Please take the time to do your own research, carefully inspect each piece at pickup and address any issues with the pickup team on site before you leave.
We are located in the southwest desert where it is not uncommon to find black widow spiders, scorpions, and other critters. Always check your purchases for any hitchhikers!
In the event of server failure or other technical problems during the closing period of an auction that prevents fair and legitimate bidding, we reserve the right to reschedule the closing of some or all of the auction to a future date and time that will allow unimpeded bidding to take place. All active bidders will receive a notification by email of the new date and time.*

AZ RESELLERS & TAX-EXEMPT PURCHASES:
All transactions with out-of-state buyers requesting shipping to an out-of-state address are tax-exempt in Arizona. However, our system automatically applies taxes to each transaction when invoices are generated. If you are an out-of-state buyer and will require your items to be shipped consistently, please upload this document to your account so we can permanently mark it as tax-exempt.
All Arizona-based resellers and tax-exempt buyers are required to provide a copy of AZ Form 5000 or AZ Form 5000A (whichever applies to you) prior to the end of the sale. The purpose is to document and establish a basis for state and city tax deductions or exemptions. Pursuant to A.R.S. § 42-5009, we must have a copy of AZ Form 5000 or 5000A on file for you (not your business license). You MUST upload this information to your Ctbids profile, and notify us via email when you have done so prior to the end of the sale. We are not able to edit invoices after they have been paid. This will allow adjustment of your invoice for the removal of sales tax before payment is collected. If all future purchases are tax-exempt, we can set up your profile to always remove the tax. Otherwise, this is done on a per-purchase basis & you are required to notify us before the sale ends that your purchase is tax-exempt.
SCHEDULING A PICKUP:
If you will be picking up your winnings, please be sure to select the appropriate ‘Item Receipt Method’ when placing a bid. The system will automatically prompt you to confirm your ‘Item Receipt Method’. If for any reason your ‘Item Receipt Method’ changes between the time you placed your bid and the scheduled pickup day, you MUST notify us via email or phone before the scheduled pickup day indicated on your invoice ends. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you will be receiving your items via the selected ‘Item Receipt Method’.
An email and text message will be sent from Shipping Saint after the auction closes. Please confirm your ‘Item Receipt Method’ using the link in the email/text sent. If you select ‘Pickup’, you will be prompted to schedule your desired pickup time using the Shipping Saint scheduler. If someone will be picking up on your behalf, you MUST send us a text/email with the person’s name and phone number. Schedule your pickup time immediately after the auction closes to secure your desired pickup time. Pickup times are staggered in 15-minute intervals. Customers will be assisted first, in the order of scheduled pickup times, and secondly, by order of sign-in. Scheduling your pickup and/or notifying us of your shipping or delivery needs within 24 hours of winning a bid is MANDATORY! Late scheduling requires additional labor preparing your invoice, emailing reminders, updating our system, etc. Please do not be late.
GENERAL PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS:
Please bring your own packing materials and boxes to protect your items and any assistance you may need to load and remove items from the premises. Beginning March 17, 2023, there will NOT BE assistance with getting items to your vehicle. Be sure you have help and enough cargo space to haul all your treasures. It is your responsibility to ensure everything you purchased is accounted for and is in the condition represented in the listing PRIOR to leaving the pickup site. Please bring any concerns to our attention, prior to leaving, so we may have an opportunity to resolve any dissatisfaction you may have with your purchased item(s). Any issues, or missing items, not presented to us at the time of pickup cannot be resolved due to factors beyond our control. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase and assume you are unless you make us aware of issues during your pickup before you leave the premises.
> Any items not claimed on pickup day are also considered abandoned and will be donated or resold immediately with NO REFUNDS. You or someone you appoint are committed to retrieving all items on pickup day during pickup hours.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
If you will need shipping or delivery, please be sure to select the appropriate ‘Item Receipt Method’ when placing a bid. The system will automatically prompt you to confirm your ‘Item Receipt Method’. If for any reason your ‘Item Receipt Method’ changes between the time you placed your bid and the scheduled pickup day, you MUST notify us via email or phone before the scheduled pickup day indicated on your invoice ends. DELIVERY:
Caring Transitions offers an affordable delivery service through Annabells for anyone who is unable to pickup their items during the designated pickup day/time. Select the Delivery option for your item receipt method when placing your bid and email all special requests & instructions to tucson@caringtransitions.com within 24 hours of end of auction.

> Oversize items or items requiring significant assembly will have additional charges–e.g. pianos, pool tables, china hutches, armoires, wall units–depending on the item, and up to our discretion. Items will be placed in the home if space is made available. We cannot be responsible for furniture that does not fit into the house or in the desired space. Old furniture may be moved and/or removed for an additional fee.
> Caring Transitions delivery charges not paid prior to the scheduled pickup day will result in you forfeiting your item as abandoned. Delivery charges will be billed through Ctbids and will require for you to 'approve' the amount. This must be done before the scheduled pick-up date listed on your invoice.
> To request our delivery service for your items, please select the Delivery option when placing your bid. If you have special requests or instructions (i.e. Different delivery address than what is on file in CTBids, requesting delivery of specific items on invoice, etc.) email us with "SUBJECT: DELIVERY REQUEST / INVOICE #" at tucson@caringtransitions.com (24hrs post-auction).
PACKING/SHIPPING:
We do not provide cost estimates for shipping. Shipping costs are determined once an item has been packed, measured, and weighed. An estimate can be gathered from a UPS store with the size, weight estimation, and the ship to and from zip codes. We always ship from 85713. Keep in mind that shipping costs may exceed the value of an item. Please bid accordingly. When you bid on an item and request shipping - you are buying and we are shipping the entire lot. We are unable to ship partial lots - as we have no way to deal with the unwanted items in a lot without cost to us and our clients. Simply asking us to donate - is a cost to us and/or our clients as it requires transport to a donation center.
Shipping is available at the buyer's expense. If you would like to have your purchases shipped, please select the "Shipping" option as your ‘Item Receipt Method’ when placing a bid. You can also notify us, via email tucson@caringtransitions.com, immediately after winning. If you have a carrier preference, you MUST let us know your preferred carrier within 24 hours of the auction ending. Insurance above the amount provided by the shipper, equal to the invoice amount, will be added to the shipping costs. We will pack in-house and ship using the most economical method (FedEx, UPS, or USPS).
Packing fees are determined by materials used, pack time, lot size, and more, starting at a minimum of $10 per invoice. A breakdown of your packing fee will be included on your Shipping Saint invoice. Additional charges are assessed for special shipping requests, such as packing method, expediting, and more, starting at a minimum of $20.
For invoices exceeding $300, a signature will be required upon delivery. If you would like the signature requirement removed, a photo of a valid ID with the name and address associated with the Ctbids account will need to be emailed to tucson@caringtransitions.com.
We ship via Pak Mail for large, fragile, or unusual-shaped items that we cannot pack in-house. A handling and transport fee of $70 will be invoiced via Ctbids for items sent to PakMail for shipping. This fee is separate from the PakMail packing and shipping fee. PakMail will contact you with their shipping cost.
The “Billing To” address from your invoice is used for all your shipping purchases. All packages will be shipped to this same address unless you change the address on your account profile AND email us regarding this change. You will be prompted by Shipping Saint to confirm your shipping address before making payment for packing/shipping.
Once billed for shipping, you will receive an email and text message from Shipping Saint. Shipping Saint will ask you to confirm your shipping details, and prompt you to make payment using a credit or debit card. You will have a 7-day grace period to make payment for packing/shipping. Any items not paid for within 7 days after billing will be considered abandoned. All abandoned items are resold/donated with no refund. After your items are sent, you will receive communication from Shipping Saint with your tracking number and carrier used.

Caring Transitions of Southern Arizona reserves the discretionary right to postpone or cancel any auction or listing without notice. Caring Transitions reserves the right to retract bids whenever necessary. Item previews are by demand, item accessibility, and team availability, If you wish to preview something before the auction closes please email us a list of item SKU's with the item title, and we can check on accessibility and team availability and schedule a time with you if a preview is possible. The sooner you provide the list of interested items the better chance of a preview being scheduled. AZ RESELLERS & TAX-EXEMPT PURCHASES:
All transactions with out-of-state buyers requesting shipping to an out-of-state address are tax-exempt in Arizona. However, our system automatically applies taxes to each transaction when invoices are generated. If you are an out-of-state buyer and will require your items to be shipped consistently, please upload this document to your account so we can permanently mark it as tax-exempt.
All Arizona-based resellers and tax-exempt buyers are required to provide a copy of AZ Form 5000 or AZ Form 5000A (whichever applies to you) prior to the end of the sale. The purpose is to document and establish a basis for state and city tax deductions or exemptions. Pursuant to A.R.S. § 42-5009, we must have a copy of AZ Form 5000 or 5000A on file for you (not your business license). You MUST upload this information to your Ctbids profile, and notify us via email when you have done so prior to the end of the sale. We are not able to edit invoices after they have been paid. This will allow adjustment of your invoice for the removal of sales tax before payment is collected. If all future purchases are tax-exempt, we can set up your profile to always remove the tax. Otherwise, this is done on a per-purchase basis & you are required to notify us before the sale ends that your purchase is tax-exempt.
SCHEDULING A PICKUP:
If you will be picking up your winnings, please be sure to select the appropriate ‘Item Receipt Method’ when placing a bid. The system will automatically prompt you to confirm your ‘Item Receipt Method’. If for any reason your ‘Item Receipt Method’ changes between the time you placed your bid and the scheduled pickup day, you MUST notify us via email or phone before the scheduled pickup day indicated on your invoice ends. If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you will be receiving your items via the selected ‘Item Receipt Method’.
An email and text message will be sent from Shipping Saint after the auction closes. Please confirm your ‘Item Receipt Method’ using the link in the email/text sent. If you select ‘Pickup’, you will be prompted to schedule your desired pickup time using the Shipping Saint scheduler. If someone will be picking up on your behalf, you MUST send us a text/email with the person’s name and phone number. Schedule your pickup time immediately after the auction closes to secure your desired pickup time. Pickup times are staggered in 15-minute intervals. Customers will be assisted first, in the order of scheduled pickup times, and secondly, by order of sign-in. Scheduling your pickup and/or notifying us of your shipping or delivery needs within 24 hours of winning a bid is MANDATORY! Late scheduling requires additional labor preparing your invoice, emailing reminders, updating our system, etc. Please do not be late.
GENERAL PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS:
Please bring your own packing materials and boxes to protect your items and any assistance you may need to load and remove items from the premises. Beginning March 17, 2023, there will NOT BE assistance with getting items to your vehicle. Be sure you have help and enough cargo space to haul all your treasures. It is your responsibility to ensure everything you purchased is accounted for and is in the condition represented in the listing PRIOR to leaving the pickup site. Please bring any concerns to our attention, prior to leaving, so we may have an opportunity to resolve any dissatisfaction you may have with your purchased item(s). Any issues, or missing items, not presented to us at the time of pickup cannot be resolved due to factors beyond our control. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase and assume you are unless you make us aware of issues during your pickup before you leave the premises.
> Any items not claimed on pickup day are also considered abandoned and will be donated or resold immediately with NO REFUNDS. You or someone you appoint are committed to retrieving all items on pickup day during pickup hours.

Caring Transitions offers an affordable delivery service through Annabells for anyone who is unable to pickup their items during the designated pickup day/time. Select the Delivery option for your item receipt method when placing your bid and email all special requests & instructions to tucson@caringtransitions.com within 24 hours of end of auction.

> Oversize items or items requiring significant assembly will have additional charges–e.g. pianos, pool tables, china hutches, armoires, wall units–depending on the item, and up to our discretion. Items will be placed in the home if space is made available. We cannot be responsible for furniture that does not fit into the house or in the desired space. Old furniture may be moved and/or removed for an additional fee.
> Caring Transitions delivery charges not paid prior to the scheduled pickup day will result in you forfeiting your item as abandoned. Delivery charges will be billed through Ctbids and will require for you to 'approve' the amount. This must be done before the scheduled pick-up date listed on your invoice.

We are unable to ship partial lots - as we have no way to deal with the unwanted items in a lot without cost to us and our clients. Simply asking us to donate - is a cost to us and/or our clients as it requires transport to a donation center.

For invoices exceeding $300, a signature will be required upon delivery. If you would like the signature requirement removed, a photo of a valid ID with the name and address associated with the Ctbids account will need to be emailed to tucson@caringtransitions.com.
We ship via Pak Mail for large, fragile, or unusual-shaped items that we cannot pack in-house. A handling and transport fee of $70 will be invoiced via Ctbids for items sent to PakMail for shipping. This fee is separate from the PakMail packing and shipping fee. PakMail will contact you with their shipping cost.
The “Billing To” address from your invoice is used for all your shipping purchases. All packages will be shipped to this same address unless you change the address on your account profile AND email us regarding this change. You will be prompted by Shipping Saint to confirm your shipping address before making payment for packing/shipping.
Once billed for shipping, you will receive an email and text message from Shipping Saint. Shipping Saint will ask you to confirm your shipping details, and prompt you to make payment using a credit or debit card. You will have a 7-day grace period to make payment for packing/shipping. Any items not paid for within 7 days after billing will be considered abandoned. All abandoned items are resold/donated with no refund. After your items are sent, you will receive communication from Shipping Saint with your tracking number and carrier used.

Caring Transitions reserves the right to retract bids whenever necessary.
