This Berkeley Hills home is alive with the olden days of 🇫🇷 France, other foreign pieces, and nice American touches as well!

France: From the Antique French19th century Louis Philippe walnut daybed, to the 19th century Empire walnut commode, marble top bedside table, and buffet a deux corps kitchen pantry, to French art, music, linens, Majolica orchid cache pot, and copper cooking vessels, antique cast iron Force balance scale and fireback, and finally, to a modern French Cinna convertible futon sofa bed, Oooh la lah, tres bien! (Sorry, I can’t help myself)…

A taste of India, Morocco,Turkey, and Persia too: Hand-woven rugs from all 4, Moroccan woman in Hijab carved from Tula wood, and textiles

American Furniture: Eames-style molded plastic kitchen chairs, Teak Adirondack patio chairs with ottomans, teak patio table with retractable leaf and 4 chairs, vintage yellow metal medical cabinet, vintage plate rack, antique Saxony spinning wheel, Club armchair, pencil reed bamboo coffee table, sweet wooden farmhouse style dropleaf dining and tavern tables, wooden chairs. Ahh, and then there’s the custom-made sectional desk, office chairs, plus bookcases and lateral steel filing cabinets in the basement. One more sofa as well, and a wooden media shelving unit. What more could you want? How about a wooden directors chair?

Art: Lots of fine art paintings, etchings, prints, etc., including Jim Krantz photography (student of Ansel Adams/and of Marlboro man fame), one of Goldstein’s Canyon prints, Goines signed “Harvest.”

Crafts and Tools for the Can-do in you! I couldn’t help but bring over a couple beautiful sewing and quilting machines to compliment that classic wooden spinning wheel. Specifically, a Bernina 570 QE quilters edition sewing machine, as well as a Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond Deluxe sewing machine. There’s also fabric, yarn, knitting needles and sewing notions, beading, and calligraphy. In the basement, you’ll find hand more tools and painting supplies as well.

Electronics and Media: Denon CD Player, Klipsch Kg4 Speakers, Mitsubishi VHS Recorder/Player, Grundig Emergency Radio, and lots of classical music in the form of LPs, CDs, and cassette tapes. And, there’s books and beaucoup Les livres…. Lots of French titles.

Outdoors and Sports: In addition to the teak patio furniture already listed, is sporting / camping goods —Coleman sleeping bags and lantern, an Exerpeutic Recumbent Exercise Bike and some weights, and tennis balls.

Dining and Kitchen: Some barware, Japanese dining, teacups and teapots, China, and antique copper pots. There’s also some really lovely tablecloths.

Clothing: Men’s and Women’s!

Household: Bed linens, office, cleaning, gardening, and pet supplies, an extension ladder, as well as a Kartell ladder, moving dollies, and more.
