About the car: 1954 MG TF 1250 finished in MG Red. According to the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, this is a factory-built left hand drive North American export car, retaining its original XPAG-TF engine no. 33797 and chassis no. HDC46 3984.

Built March 11 to 12, 1954 and dispatched March 15, 1954, the car was produced for the U.S. market and equipped from the factory with desirable wire wheels. It is also fitted with a matching tonneau cover and side curtains, completing the classic roadster setup and offering added practicality for open air or covered driving. A black soft top is included.

Only 9,600 MG TFs were ever produced, and fewer than 2,400 of the 1250 models were exported to the United States, making this a truly rare and highly desirable example.

The engine and gearbox have both been rebuilt, with fewer than 1,000 miles since completion, providing improved drivability while preserving the car’s original character and matching numbers integrity.

A fine example of a well restored classic, this car features new tires and new chrome. The interior has been redone and presents well overall.

It comes with many additional extras, including the original steering wheel, which is included with the sale.

The MG TF represents the final evolution of MG’s classic T Series and is widely regarded as one of the most refined and desirable pre-unibody MG sports cars. With its sweeping fenders, exposed headlamps, and upright grille, it delivers the quintessential vintage British roadster presence.

This example presents beautifully with strong visual presence and period correct styling. A true enthusiast car that offers an engaging driving experience and timeless design that continues to appreciate among collectors.
