Description & Details
Step Back in Time at the Legendary Home of Rico Squalgia!
This is no ordinary estate—it’s the home of Rico Squalgia, the legendary hot rod builder who ruled the custom car scene in the ’50s and ’60s. Rico won multiple Oakland Roadster Shows, along with big titles in Pomona, L.A., and Sacramento. Known as a master craftsman and innovator, he built complete custom cars and created sought-after specialty parts that became icons in the hot rod world.
Inside, you’ll find treasures any gearhead will love—small block Corvette motors (265s and 283s), vintage diagnostic equipment, and rare 1960s N.O.S. parts.
But it doesn’t stop there. Rico’s home is like stepping into a time capsule—he saved everything. From vintage Christmas cards and decorations to mid-century kitchenware, clothing, and even heartfelt love letters, this home tells the story of a life well lived.
Collectors will be thrilled by the plethora of paper memorabilia, including vintage Hot Rod and Drag Week magazines and other classic automotive ephemera.
So come mosey down to the charming river town of Walnut Grove and take home a piece of automotive history—and a little slice of the good old days.
