PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING
By registering and placing a bid, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Bidding constitutes a legal and binding agreement to purchase the item(s) as described. If you do not understand these terms, please do not bid.

We encourage all bidders to contact us before the auction begins with any questions regarding specific items, lots, or the auction process. Once bidding is underway, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to respond in time to address questions about active lots.

1. Catalog & Item Descriptions
Kinfolk Auction & Antiques makes every effort to provide accurate descriptions and photographs of items offered for sale. However, all property is sold “as is, where is,” with all faults and without warranties of any kind. Item descriptions, measurements, and opinions of condition are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed to be complete or error-free. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to examine, research, and determine the condition and value of items prior to bidding.
2. Buyer’s Premium & Payments
• A [18%] Buyer’s Premium will be added to the final bid price of all lots. Every bidder/buyer pays the same buyer's premium and should bid accordingly. For example, if you bid $100 on an item at the auction you will be charged $118 for the item on your auction invoice. Please take this into consideration when bidding
• A [3%] discount may be available for payments made by cash or check (see auction-specific details).
• SALES TAX: 7% GA sales tax applies. Any bidder that has a CURRENT AND VALID GEORGIA TAX EXEMPT CERTIFICATE must email us a copy for our files at least 3 (three) business days (Monday-Friday) PRIOR to CLOSE of bidding in an auction so that we may arrange for tax-exemption status.
• Accepted payment methods: Cash, Check (with valid ID), Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.
• All buyers must pay for their purchases in full within the scheduled timeframe after auction ending. Credit cards payments are run at the close of the auction. • All sales are final. No credit card chargebacks are permitted.
• A $35 fee will be charged for all returned checks, in addition to any collection costs.
3. Default by Buyer
If a successful bidder fails to pay in full within the stated period, the bidder will be considered in default. In such cases, Kinfolk Auction & Antiques and the seller may:
• Cancel the sale and retain any deposits paid.
• Resell the item(s), with the defaulting bidder liable for any deficiency and related expenses.
• Pursue legal action or collection services, with the buyer responsible for attorney fees, storage costs, and other damages.
Unpaid balances may also accrue a $25 per month storage/handling fee until settled. Jurisdiction for all disputes will be [Hoschton, Georgia where Kinfolk operates].
4. Shipping & Pickup
• Buyers are responsible for arranging pickup or shipping within the time specified in the auction listing.
• Kinfolk Auction & Antiques may assist with shipping arrangements; all shipping costs and risks are the buyer’s responsibility.
• Fragile, oversized, or hazardous items may require third-party shipping services at the buyer’s expense.
• REMOVAL: All items listed must be removed by the end of the designated pickup time. Please note that we do not have storage space for storing items that have been purchased. Items not picked up by the end of the designated pickup dates become the property of Kinfolk Auction and are subject to be resold without a refund
5. Preview & Inspection
• Previews are available prior to the auction by appointment or during posted preview hours.
• Once a bid is placed, it cannot be retracted, regardless of whether the bidder attended the preview.
• Questions regarding items should be submitted before the auction begins.
6. Missing or Damaged Items
• All packages are documented before shipping. Buyers must retain original packaging if a claim for missing or damaged items is made.
7. Bidding & Registration
• Bidders must be at least 18 years old and provide valid registration information.
• Kinfolk Auction & Antiques reserves the right to refuse registration or bidding privileges at its discretion.
• Bidders are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their username and password. Any activity under a registered account will be considered the responsibility of that bidder.
8. Maximum Bids
When placing a maximum bid, the system will automatically advance bids in the preset increments up to your maximum. The current bid does not automatically jump to your maximum unless necessary to maintain the winning position.
9. Auction Closing & Auto-Extend
• All online auctions are timed events. If a bid is placed in the final 2minutes, the auction for that lot will automatically extend an additional 2 minutes.
• The auction will not close until all bidding has ceased and no new bids are placed within the extension period.
10. Technical Issues
Kinfolk Auction & Antiques is not responsible for interruptions in service, technical errors, or missed bids due to internet or software malfunctions. In the event of system failure, Kinfolk reserves the right to extend, reopen, or close bidding as deemed necessary.
11. Auction Conduct
All bidding increments, decisions, and dispute resolutions are at the sole discretion of Kinfolk Auction & Antiques. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid or withdraw any lot at any time. All decisions are final.
