Description & Details
I am emptying and selling the home I grew up in. My mother passed away in December, leaving behind a true treasure trove. Please check back all week—every day we’re uncovering new (and very cool) finds.
Highlights include:
Antique Buffet
A stunning showpiece with a marble top. I vividly remember my parents buying this at the estate sale of former Governor and Senator Herman Talmadge’s aunt, right here in Tifton. It’s a beauty with history to match.
Curio Cabinet full of Mama’s Teacups & Saucers. The cups and saucers are sold separately from the curio… unless you want to make an offer on the whole thing. And yes—it lights up.(The curio, not the teacups.)
Dining Room Table & Chairs. Round table with at least one leaf. I’ll be hunting for it today and will add it in once located.
Butcher Block Rolling Table
Clothing and shoes. Most are petite.
Vintage-Style Step Stool / Chair
A reproduction of the kind we used in the kitchen for years.
Fake Fireplace (aka Space Heater That Pretends to Be Fancy). Looks great, works great, and currently holds our TV. Juan says we should sell the TV too—and honestly, he’s probably right. When we come back to clean the house, we may actually have to talk to each other. 🤭
Mid-Century Modern Green Couch. Likely from the 1960s and in great shape. I don’t remember when we got it… which tells you how long it’s been around.
Two Glass & Wood End Tables. With matching tap-to-turn-on lamps (that’s the technical term, right?).
Knickknacks Everywhere
I suspect I gave many of these to Mama over the years. Doing estate sales leads to a lot of “great gift” moments.
She eventually asked me to stop giving her teacups because she had too many. 🎁
Lovely Brown Recliner. Comfortable and in good shape. You’ll see another recliner next to it—but that one’s coming home with me to Atlanta.
Beds. Three total: two queens and one double.Yes, still talking about beds.
Antique Wardrobe. Believed to have belonged to my dad back when he was a bachelor.
Wall Art, Chests, Desks & Odds-and-Ends Furniture
Most will appear in photos as we continue adding them.
A Very Cool Old Table. From the Nazarene Church in Pavo, Georgia, when it closed in the 1960s. Members divided up the assets, and somehow we ended up with this gem. It’s green now—but easy to repaint.
Christmas. So Much Christmas. As with every estate I’ve ever done… there’s a lot.
The Coolest Picnic Table EverAssembled, it’s a classic picnic table. Separate it, push a few buttons, and it becomes two benches. Genius.
Wreath HeavenFall, spring, and a butt-load of Christmas wreaths. Priced to sell.
A Chest Freezer. You know—the kind you open from the top and stare down into. I know it has a proper name, but I’m too lazy to ask ChatGPT.
Electric Lawn Mower
Jewelry Room. While caring for Mama, I started buying jewelry at estate sales and online… and now we have enough to fill a room. This is costume jewelry only—no gold or silver (though hey, anything’s possible). $2 per piece.
Lift / Recliner Chair. Heats, massages, and lifts. Used only 3–4 times.
Yard Art, Flower Pots & Plants
Cookbooks
Bookcases. One tall and relatively new. One very old—believed to have been made by my father and grandfather. And no, I’m not keeping it. I have nowhere to put it.
That’s all for now—but there’s plenty more coming. You’ll have a wonderful time exploring this sale.
Check back often as we add pictures and uncover new treasures every day.
Happy hunting! 🏡✨
