Sheridan Estate Sales II accepts Cash, Debit/Credit Cards, and Mobile Pay with no minimums. Sheridan Estate Sales II charges a 3.9% convenience fee on Debit/Credit Cards as well as Mobile Pay. Sheridan II does not guarantee the authenticity or working order of any piece of merchandise we sell. No refunds or exchanges. Everything is sold as is. Sheridan Estate Sales II is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or illness. Service animals welcome. No pets.
Please bring your own movers and moving equipment (dolly, blankets, tape, etc.) for your heavy purchases.
We do not give out merchandise prices before the sale. We are just that busy. In most of our sales we offer the furniture as "Buy it now". We are always open to offers on merchandise. Once you have been informed that your offer on the merchandise has been accepted we will invoice you on our secure register system by email. You must pay this invoice immediately. We do not hold items. If you do not pay the invoice immediately, the merchandise could be sold to another customer. There is a 11% convenience fee on pre sales.
Sheridan II honors a single WATCHED list. Numbers are given out 30 minutes prior to the sale start each day. You must be present to receive a number. At the beginning of the sale only five (5) customers will be allowed in the house. Fifteen (15) minutes later we will allow additional customers into the sale up to the house maximum.
No Photos or videos. You are attending a sale on private property and for the privacy of our clients we request that no video or pictures be taken on the premises.
LIABILITY WAIVER: Neither the homeowner, nor Sheridan Estate Sales II, who is conducting the estate sale, are liable for accidents or injury of any kind as a result of visiting this property. By attending this estate sale, you knowingly release the aforementioned parties of any such liability. Visit the property at your own discretion.
Sometimes merchandise is removed from a sale by the clients after they appear in the photographs. We try our best to avoid this situation, but it does happen. Check back frequently to see the updated pictures.
Our security cameras operate during sale hours. Your entry onto the premises will constitute your consent to use any photographs or video taken that may contain your image. We may display some of these on our website or use them for promotional or other purposes. If you are caught on any of these cameras removing items without paying, the footage will be given to the local police authority and you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Originally constructed in 1874 for a former member of Congress and the first president of the Evanston Board of Trustees, the Charles J. Gilbert House is celebrating its 150th birthday this year. A Second Empire Victorian with Italianate features and mansard roof that were de rigueur for prominent estates of the time, the subsequent addition of a portico with Corinthian columns was inspired by the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago, further punctuating the incredible curb appeal and prominence of one of Evanston's most important historical homes. Approaching the entrance, you are greeted by a gracious brick patio spanning the full width of the home with beautifully carved double entry doors. Once inside, the stunning original woodwork of the central hallway and staircase balustrades will take your breath away. Two double parlors are accessed on either side, leading the visitor to stately living and entertaining rooms; each with 9 foot tall windows welcoming the light and soaring ceilings with hand-carved plaster medallions crowning the chandeliers. There are three imported Italian marble fireplaces on the first level, with a total of eight throughout the home; of which two are fired by gas; one by wood with the remaining five decorative. Moving up, the second floor hosts four large bedrooms with generous closets, including a primary suite with large adjoining reception area grand 40x12 covered porch providing a secluded outdoor oasis overlooking the well manicured foregrounds along Asbury Ave. The third floor contains a large one bedroom in-law apartment with its own living, dining and kitchen; a large recreation room that in bygone times served as a ballroom; and a game room that has hosted many a billiards match. A second two bedroom in-law apartment with kitchen, full bath, laundry and living quarters can be found belowdecks.
