South Bend Estate Liquidation
Description & Details
This remarkable collection includes a rare and poignant collection of artifacts from the era of the Philippine–American War (1899–1902), preserved across several generations of one family. Together, these items form a tangible record of service, sacrifice, and daily life during and after the conflict.
The Philippine–American War marked a turning point in U.S. history, bridging the Spanish–American War and the early 20th-century rise of American influence overseas. Collections of this depth are seldom encountered outside of institutional archives. The juxtaposition of official artifacts with intimate family papers offers an unusually complete view of the conflict; not just as history, but as lived experience.
