Description & Details

Welcome to the breathtaking Toma Lodge estate in Ruston, a timeless expression of Southern sophistication thoughtfully crafted by Jerry and Margie Drewett.  Together, they collaborated with talented architects, craftsmen, and decorators to create a warm, inviting home designed for gracious entertaining.   Following Margie’s passing, Jerry has lovingly maintained the estate for the past ten years.

Built on the historic site of the original Chautauqua Hotel, the home sits on land that once hosted the Louisiana Chautauqua—an influential cultural movement that became the forerunner of Louisiana Tech University.  The property’s rich past is beautifully honored throughout, including the discovery and careful restoration of the original Chautauqua well.  As a tribute to this legacy, a stunning mural depicting the Chautauqua’s early years spans the entire foyer wall, painted by Glenn Kennedy, BFA, Louisiana Tech.

Supporting a Beautiful Cause at This Week’s Estate Sale

This estate sale is more than just an opportunity to discover unique treasures—it’s a chance to support a mission close to our hearts.

Our client, Jerry, is a talented craftsman who creates beautiful, handcrafted pieces right in the shop on this property.  What makes his work even more special? Jerry donates all of these pieces to benefit Quiet Waters Ministries, an organization dedicated to giving rest and relief to parents of children with special needs.

Each year, Quiet Waters offers a retreat where trained volunteers and staff care for these children for an entire week—allowing their parents precious time to rest and recharge. This mission is especially meaningful to Jerry, as he personally supports Quiet Waters in honor of his special needs grandson.

At the sale, in the office, Marty Kwasny will be on-site offering a variety of Jerry’s handcrafted pieces, with proceeds helping to support the incredible work of Quiet Waters Ministries.

Come shop with purpose—and help make a difference and find a special and meaningful piece for yourself or a gift!
