Meet The Lion King, he was devoted to the world's most challenging conflicts - - he was known to approach everyone with broad smile and a Louis Vuitton KeepAll over his shoulder.
He toured the world - from the Vatican to Nepal, Sri Lanka, Africa, China and Dubai -he didn't see conflicts; rather he set his eyes on resolution.
He looked good!
His travel gear was on point featuring brands like Louis Vuitton including:
Taiga Kendall GM Weekender in black leather
Keepall 55 duffle travel bag in brown leather
and an Omaha Utah Brown Leather Satchel.
Additional elite travel gear including Tumi, Patagonia and Osprey.
He felt good!
He was quick on his feet, rather his cycle, canoe and trapeze!
Bikes include a Schwinn, Trek Multitrack 7300 and a Marin Palisades Trail 29ER.
The Canoe is a Wenonah Escape 18' Kevlar Canoe. The Escape is a sleek performance canoe that will paddle well on streams and rivers, as well as larger lakes. It has fair depth and width to hold plenty of gear, while its flared bow and extra depth at bow and stern keeps you dry in the choppiest waters.
And, did I say Trapeze, yes! With a Rigging Kit!
Some of the other highlights include:
Bob Dylan, silk screens from the Tabu Ballroom, on Sept. 31 at 56th and Wabasha. While there isn't a Tabu Ballroom, Bob Dylan's some Meet me in the Morning, may have some insight for this riddle.
Or the mesmerizing Antelope Canyon, photograph from Peter Lik (Australian, b 1959).. He is best known for his nature and panoramic landscape images. He hosted From the Edge with Peter Lik, which aired on The Weather Channel.
The Lion King was always ready to dive in! Just like this Underwater Dog, Photograph, by Seth Casteel.
And he dove in with the goal to embrace his identity in a in Buddhist thought, rather than clinging to a fixed sense of self, Buddhism encourages acceptance of the transient and ever-changing nature of all things, including our identities.
This collection is Buddha heavy!
From a few grams, of semi precious stones, to 20lbs of bronze deity, to the literal head off of a larger than life stature, in a celadon green drip drip glaze.
The devotion continues into a colorful art collection, featuring:
AS Newman (20th century), 1990
Multiples of John Daido Loori, a Zen Buddhist roshi who was abbot of Zen Mountain Monastery, founder of the Mountains and Rivers Order and CEO of Dharma Communications.
Art that spans the continents as well as materials featuring:
19th Century Giltwood Burmese Mandalay Buddha Statue, 31"
Handmade Venetian masks to African masks.
From a bronze goddess to a marble Caesar.
To Meyda Lighting's Tiffany Wisteria Table Lamp. Re-creating Tiffany Studios iconic lighting design that dates back to 1906, this Wisteria lamp features cascading blossoms in variegated hues of Blue and Lavender art glass, accented with Spring Green leaves. Designed with an undulating border, comprising of nearly 2,000 glass pieces.
Baccarat Crystal Little Buddha Statue, 4"
And music, also considered to be a powerful art - - call us to make an appointment to play the Yamaha Polished Ebony U3 Upright Piano, Serial # 1628074.
The U3 is known for it's extra height, housing longer strings that produce a warmer, richer sound. Its larger cabinet also accommodates a larger soundboard, contributing to a more resonant tone.
Plus vintage record players, like the Curtis Mathes Stereophonic high-fidelity music center cabinet record player radio, Circa 1960, to Bose Wave CD players.
May this collection take wings and be passed down for generations: it's the Circle of Life! Cue the song!
Meet The Lion King, this Cambridge collection is just a whisper of the ripples he made within the international community, but there are over 700 items, waiting to inspire you.
Additional highlights include:
Medical oddities, check out the Fleet's Spinal Demonstrator Model No. 9!
Peter Bachin Charts, published by Anatomical Chart Co, including The Skeletal System, The Nervous System and The Muscular System. Every illustration is vividly colored and finely detailed.
Posters including political, sporting events to gallery shows and a newspaper cover, Le Matin, “The Shame! Geneva’s Clocks are Not on Time”
Collectibles featuring:
IMB memorabilia, an office THINK sign and a 1964-1965 New York World's Fair Sterling Silver bowl by Cartier, IBM Hundred Percent Club.
Mickey Rat Comics, Vol 1 and Vol 2, written by the legendary Chester Crill, or the 1960's psyche band Kaleidoscope fame, and drawn by underground cartoonist Robert Armstrong. Printed in 1971. Good condition.
A Toby mug collection.
From antiquities like fossils, spears to vintage electronics, cameras and binoculars.
Kitchenware, new in box, to pristine Waterford crystal.
And SO much MORE!
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.
- Abraham Lincoln
