Best Offer Process – Furniture & Other Large Items
Select furniture and rugs at this sale are being offered through our “best offer” process, rather than fixed pricing. Here’s how it works:
You have until 5 PM on Saturday August 2, to submit your best offer.
Pick-Up is Sunday 6/22 from 9 AM - 1 PM.
Offers must be submitted in writing, either:
– In person at the sale
– By text to (413) 441-0694
– Or by email to nick@crossroadsestatesolutions.com
Please include a photo or inventory number of the item along with your offer.
This system was first introduced during the pandemic and has remained in place due to overwhelmingly positive feedback from both buyers and sellers. Buyers appreciate the ability to thoughtfully consider large purchases, check measurements, and evaluate whether the style suits their home—without the pressure of immediate decision-making.
Our clients benefit as well: this process results in a higher sell-through rate, leaving fewer large items behind and streamlining the overall clear-out. It’s a practical and respectful approach that ensures a win-win for everyone involved.

Join us for a thoughtfully curated estate sale at the very well cared for home of Reverend Frances Ann Hills, affectionately known as Reverend Francie. A lifelong scholar and community figure, her home reflects a deep appreciation for literature, fine craftsmanship, and the comforts of good design.
Select items throughout the home are part of our Make an Offer system. These pieces are marked with special cards and will not be sold immediately. Instead, we will be accepting offers through 5:00 PM on Saturday, with the highest reasonable offer winning. Buyers are welcome to take their time—offers can be submitted in person, by text to 413-441-0694, or by email to nick@crossroadsestatesolutions.com. Winning bidders will be notified Saturday evening, and pickup will take place on Sunday. All other items without a Make an Offer card are priced and available for purchase on the spot during the sale.
