1.PAYMENT: Boyd Auctions auction uses Autopay by LiveAuctioneers. If you place a winning bid, your card will be charged shortly after the conclusion of the auction. For alternative payments please notify us ahead of time. We accept checks, wire transfers, cash, credit card payments are only accepted only through Live Auctioneers. Checks should be mailed to the address below. Items will be held until payment has cleared up to 10 business days. Any purchase over $2,000 and all overseas transactions must be paid via wire transfer in US Funds unless prior credit has been established. Failure to make payment will result in a filed complaint to Live Auctioneers whereas further bidding with Live Auctioneers will be stopped until payment is received. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Buyer's premium is 20% of the purchase price.
2. SALES TAX Maine residents will pay a State of Maine sales tax of 5.5% will be assessed on all purchases except when buyer provides a copy of a valid state-issued resale certificate please register your sales tax number with Live Auctioneers (business type must pertain to the item/s being purchased) or if shipped anywhere except Maine. Boyd Auctions can not remove sales tax it is up to you to register your tax number with Live Auctioneers
3. APPROVAL: All contact information is required for consideration of bidding approval: Name, address, telephone number, email address and credit card information. Bidders unknown to Boyd Auctions may be required to supply a form of identification or references. Approval of bidders will be at the discretion of Boyd Auctions. Boyd Auctions has the right to refuse any bidder. Overseas bidders unknown to Boyd Auctions are required to supply photo identification or references from US auction houses where purchases have been made. We DO NOT ACCEPT REGISTRATION the DAY OF or DURING THE AUCTION.
4. ALL SALES FINAL, SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS | regardless of verbal or written description, or lack of description. Conditions (If condition is not mentioned in a catalogue listing, this does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.): Boyd Auctions will be pleased to provide a condition report for any lot on request. Most of the items we sell are OLD and will have imperfections pursuant to age. We recommend prospective bidders examine all items in which they have an interest. By placing a bid, via the Internet, you signify that you have examined the items as fully as you desire to or that you have chosen not to examine them. If you require absolute certainty in all areas of authenticity, and the results of your evaluation leave uncertainty in your mind, we recommend you have an expert examine the lot for you or DO NOT BID on the item in question. Bidding on these items is acceptance of these terms. Lots are available for inspection prior to any sale. 5. BIDDING: Bidding constitutes a contract between Boyd Auctions and the bidder. Failure to make payment gives Boyd Auctions the authority to begin legal proceedings for total payment including interest and legal fees. In the case of any bidding error or dispute, either during or post sale, the Boyd Auctions sale record is conclusive. In the event of a dispute between bidders, the auctioneer has final discretion to determine the successful bidder. We reserve the right to withdraw any item or refuse an opening bid if it is not commensurate to the value of the item. Boyd Auctions is not responsible for any delay or failure of the execution of a bid on the Live Auctioneer platform. For internet-only auctions, we reserve the right to cancel and/or reopen the auction in the case of system failures. Buyer's premium is 20% of the purchase price.
6. SHIPPING: A single shipping fee for all lots won in this auction will be included on your invoice for applicable orders. This fee can be accepted upon checkout, or alternatively, you can opt for Self-Arranged Shipping or Pickup. If you choose to ship via LiveAuctioneers? shipping partner, you will receive tracking notifications as your package moves through our network.
6. STORAGE: Due to limited storage space for sold items, Boyd Auctions requires that the arrangements for the pick-up or shipment of purchased items must be completed within 15 days of the auction unless other arrangements have been made. Please remember, once an item has sold, it is no longer covered by insurance and is stored at the owner's risk. A notice of 24 hours must be given before items are picked up. Boyd Auctions, Inc. reserves the right to charge a fee of $10 per day, per item, if not removed within the requested time frame.
7. YOUR INVOICE: Due to the uncontrollable nature of the delivery of email, if you have participated in an auction, you are encouraged to inquire regarding whether you were a successful bidder. Non-receipt of an emailed invoice does not preclude you from your responsibilities for payment. If we do not receive your payment within ten (10) business days of the auction, Boyd Auctions reserves the right to move forward with all remedies available to us, including reporting your bad debt to the live auction provider and/or any other related entities and charging your credit card on file. A fee of $35 will be assessed on all returned checks. Boyd Auctions reserves the right to take possession of any items not paid within 28 days, for re-sale, at bidder's expense. You will be responsible for any difference between net selling price and original invoice, including storage fees. Bad debts will be reported to appropriate credit agencies.
