After approximately 25 years at this Birmingham location, Homework Interiors is opening its designer showroom collection to the public for a special seven-day Designer Showroom Sale.

For years, this intimate Birmingham design studio has been filled with furnishings, lighting, artwork and accessories selected by interior designer Patti L. Kommel for her design work and clientele. Now, as the studio transitions from this longtime location, an extraordinary selection of its BRAND-NEW showroom inventory is being offered for sale.

EVERYTHING BEING SOLD IS NEW — NOTHING IS USED.

The showroom may be under 2,000 square feet, but as the photographs show, it is absolutely packed from room to room and wall to wall. There are hundreds of pieces throughout the studio — from substantial furnishings and statement lighting to an incredible amount of artwork, mirrors, pillows and decorative accessories.

This is an especially exciting opportunity for interior designers, decorators, home stagers and design enthusiasts. Many of these pieces come from designer-oriented lines traditionally sourced through interior designers, trade showrooms and design centers rather than ordinary furniture stores.

Throughout the showroom you will find an enormous variety of brand-new designer merchandise, including furniture, occasional tables, consoles, cabinets, chairs, stools, benches, lamps, floor lamps, designer lighting, mirrors, framed artwork, wall décor, decorative panels, sculptures, vases, vessels, bowls, trays, candleholders, hurricanes, decorative boxes, tabletop accessories, faux botanicals, decorative objects, pillows, textiles, small rugs and much more.

There is a particularly impressive collection of framed artwork and mirrors in virtually every room and hallway, ranging from contemporary abstracts and botanicals to architectural, geometric and traditional designs.

And for designers and anyone outfitting a studio, showroom, retail space, workshop, closet or storage area, we’re selling more than just the décor:

PHUNAYA heavy-duty wall hooks, wall-mounted shelving, shelf brackets, additional/extra brackets and select showroom fixtures are also available for purchase.

You’ll even find some of the small decorative Gold Leaf Design Group cubes displayed throughout the showroom, along with additional studio and display items.

The trade-off is simple: the longer you wait, the greater the discount — but the selection gets smaller.

Everything is first come, first served. If you fall in love with something, purchasing early gives you the best opportunity to get it before someone else does.

Because this is a small showroom packed with merchandise and many smaller decorative pieces, NO HANDBAGS, PURSES, TOTES OR SHOPPING BAGS will be permitted inside the sale.

Please leave them securely in your vehicle while shopping.

We will provide a designated holding area with shelving so you can shop comfortably. As you select merchandise, we can place your items together on your designated shelf or shelves until you’re ready to check out.

NO CHILDREN, PLEASE. Due to the amount of merchandise, glass, breakables and limited walking space, this sale is not suitable for children.

LARGE PURCHASES & PICKUP

Purchased merchandise may remain at the showroom for scheduled pickup, but ALL PURCHASES MUST BE REMOVED NO LATER THAN END OF DAY FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, IF YOU DO NOT PICK UP YOUR PURCHASES BY END OF DAY, AUGUST 28, THEY WILL BE FORFEITED. WE HAVE TO HAVE THE ENTIRE PLACE CLEARED OUT AND CLEANED BY THE 31ST.

Delivery is available for an additional fee for larger furniture and purchases.

If you’re planning to purchase multiple accessories, artwork or breakables, we strongly recommend bringing boxes, bins, bubble wrap and packing materials with you — but please leave them in your vehicle until after you’ve completed your purchase.

We will have a limited supply of ordinary shopping bags and wrapping paper, but customers are responsible for packing and transporting their purchases.
