Legacy Auction House ? Terms & Conditions of Sale
By registering to bid with Legacy Auction House (?Auctioneer,? ?we,? or ?us?), whether in person, online, or by absentee/phone bid, you (?Bidder?) agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
1. Agency Disclosure Legacy Auction House acts solely as an agent for the seller (?Consignor?). The contract for sale is between the Consignor and the winning Bidder. We act as a neutral third party and do not take title to the property. While we represent each item to the best of our ability, we do not own the property being sold.
2. Condition, Authenticity, and Item Descriptions All property is sold ?as-is, where-is.? Descriptions, attributions, and statements of condition?whether written or verbal?are the opinions of Legacy Auction House specialists and are offered as a courtesy to bidders. These opinions should not be interpreted as a guarantee of fact.
In-person preview is not available. Legacy Auction House does not allow public access to our facility for lot inspection or evaluation. All items are cataloged and photographed to the best of our ability. Additional photos and written condition reports are available by request prior to bidding.
Refunds will be considered only at the sole discretion of Legacy Auction House and only in cases where clear and compelling evidence of material misrepresentation is presented. Refunds will not be granted due to dissatisfaction with condition, attribution discrepancies, or buyer?s remorse.
3. All Sales Final All bids are binding, and all sales are final. No refunds will be issued due to: - High shipping costs - Delays in third-party or in-house shipping - Condition issues that were disclosed or visible in photographs - A bidder?s failure to request additional information
4. Bidding Process - The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the purchaser. - In the event of a tie bid or dispute, the auctioneer has sole discretion to determine the winning bid or to re-offer the lot. - Legacy Auction House reserves the right to reject any bid, withdraw any lot, or combine/split lots at its discretion. - Bidders must register and be approved to participate in any auction. We reserve the right to request identification or payment verification at any time.
5. Buyer?s Premium & Payment Fees A buyer?s premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot and is subject to applicable state sales tax.
LiveAuctioneers may automatically charge the card on file within 24 hours of auction close. A LiveAuctioneers processing fee applies to all credit card payments and will be included in your final invoice total. This fee is in addition to hammer price, buyer?s premium, and tax.
We also accept ACH bank transfers for invoices of $2,000 or more.
6. Payment Terms Payment is due within 10 days of the auction date. If payment is not received by the 10th day, the invoice will be considered in default, and all items will be deemed abandoned and may be resold without notice.
Ownership of lots does not transfer until full payment has cleared. We reserve the right to pursue legal action or block future participation in the event of non-payment.
7. Shipping & Abandoned Lots Legacy Auction House offers in-house shipping for many items. If you would like to use this service, a separate shipping invoice will be issued within one week after the auction.
We do not ship large, oversized, or exceptionally fragile items in-house. For such items, buyers must arrange third-party shipping. Please inquire before bidding if uncertain.
If shipping is not paid within 30 days of the auction close, the item will be considered abandoned and may be resold without refund.
All risk of loss passes to the buyer at the fall of the hammer.
8. Pick-Up Policy Pick-up is available by appointment only. Walk-ins are not permitted under any circumstances. Our facility is not open to the public. Winning bidders must coordinate a pick-up time in advance after receiving payment confirmation.
Failure to schedule a pick-up within 30 days of auction close may result in storage fees or forfeiture of the item.
9. Tax & Exemption All purchases are subject to applicable state and local sales tax, unless a valid resale certificate is provided prior to payment. We are required by law to collect sales tax based on the buyer?s shipping or pick-up location.
10. Disputes & Governing Law Any dispute arising under these Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Bidder agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan.
11. Modifications These terms are subject to change without notice. The most current version will be posted on our website and available at time of registration. Participation in any auction indicates full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Legacy Auction House
Description & Details
Legacy Auction House invites you to our inaugural auction event:Le Grande Debut, taking place Friday, August 1 at 2:00 PM Eastern. This marks the beginning of a new voice in the auction world, and we're proud to open our doors with a collection that reflects passion, history, and discovery. Whether you're a seasoned bidder or simply curious, we welcome you to be part of this first chapter.
Highlights include an oil painting attributed to Sassoferrato; signed Salvador Dali lithographs and artist proofs with provenance from Peter B. Lucas and The Dali Archives; and a collection of art glass featuring Rene Lalique, Emile Galle, Tiffany Studios, Moser, and Loetz Austria. You'll also find portrait miniatures, Viennese enamels, French champleve, mid-century modern furniture, and original works by Charles B. Culver.
This debut auction also honors the consignors who made it possible. George Bozin, a lifelong collector of Salvador Dali, built professional relationships with The Dali Archives and Peter B. Lucas. His collection has been appraised and authenticated by the most trusted sources in the field.
We are also pleased to offer five works from Linda Ward, a Detroit-based contemporary artist whose 500 Portraits series has attracted collectors across the country, including actress Demi Moore.
Finally, the heart of this auction is a single-owner estate: Rose, a woman who spent nearly 100 years collecting fine art, antiques, and cultural objects with curiosity, refinement, and passion. Her legacy lives on through the treasures she left behind.
