The Swartouts were deeply engaged in the Minnesota and Upper Midwest clay communities for over 50 years. As passionate advocates for the ceramic arts, they played a foundational role in supporting generations of artists through their work with Minnesota Clay and later Continental Clay Company.
Over the decades, a personal collection of ceramic works—many acquired directly from artists as gifts or purchases—reflects the rich history and evolution of the regional clay community. A curated collection of vintage pottery is available for sale, spanning from 1973 to 2015.
