THE PICKIN CHICK — TERMS & CONDITIONS
GENERAL TERMS: This is an online-only auction conducted by The Pickin Chick. All items are sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO GUARANTEES OR WARRANTIES of any kind. All sales are final. Descriptions and photos are provided for bidder convenience, but it is the bidder’s responsibility to evaluate condition, authenticity, and value using their own judgment. In the event of any discrepancy between photos and descriptions, the auctioneer will make the final determination of the item offered for sale.
There is a 12% buyer’s premium on all purchases. By registering to bid, you acknowledge and accept all terms and conditions. All registration information provided must be current and accurate, and bidders must be 18 years of age or older to participate. The Pickin Chick reserves the sole right to approve or deny any bidder at its discretion. Bidders agree not to engage in any conduct, device, or software use that interferes with the auction process or the integrity of the sale.
PAYMENT TERMS: All bidders must register with a valid credit or debit card prior to bidding. The auctioneer cannot register or place bids on behalf of any bidder. Payment is due once the auction has closed, and invoices are typically processed within one hour of the final lot closing.
A valid photo ID may be required at any time to verify the identity of the registered bidder or for security and fraud-prevention purposes. For orders over $500, a matching photo ID is required at pickup. For orders over $1,000, payment must be made by credit card (with matching ID and person present at pickup), cash, or wire transfer—no exceptions.
All transactions are processed through Global Payments within HiBid unless alternative arrangements have been approved in writing prior to auction close. The bidder authorizes The Pickin Chick to charge the card on file for any and all purchases made. All sales are final, and no refunds or chargebacks will be permitted.
PICKUP TERMS: All items must be picked up during the designated pickup date and time listed in the auction details. These times are firm and established to ensure an efficient, organized process for both bidders and staff. The Pickin Chick does not offer alternate pickup dates or extended hours unless explicitly stated in the auction listing.
Bidders are fully responsible for the safe and timely removal of all items. Please bring adequate help, tools, and packing materials—our team does not assist with lifting, loading, or disassembly. Any damage to property, driveways, structures, or vehicles during removal will be the financial responsibility of the bidder.
Any items not picked up during the scheduled time will be considered forfeited without refund and may be subject to removal or disposal fees. The Pickin Chick is not responsible for lost, damaged, or unclaimed items after the pickup window closes.
Pickup details, including address, times, and any special instructions, are listed on the auction page and in your invoice. Please read carefully prior to bidding.
SHIPPING TERMS: Shipping Policy: Shipping is available only with auctioneer approval. We ship small, non-fragile, easy-to-package items (e.g., quilts, pocket knives, etc.) only. No shipping of glassware, artwork, or bulk lots. To request shipping approval, please contact Heather at Heathershayne@gmail.comor text 636-346-3493. Lots not approved for shipping may be forfeited or subject to additional fees. We use GoShippo to secure discounted shipping rates, which are passed on to bidders, plus a $4 handling fee per approved shipment. Orders over $100 are insured at the bidder’s expense. Typical carriers include USPS Priority, FedEx Ground, UPS Ground, or UPS Ground Saver.
LIABILITY DISCLAIMER & ACCEPTANCE: By registering and bidding in this auction, all bidders acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions in full. Participation in the auction constitutes a binding legal agreement between the bidder and The Pickin Chick.
Bidders enter the property at their own risk. The Pickin Chick, its employees, and the property owner are not responsible for accidents, injuries, theft, or damage that may occur before, during, or after the auction or pickup process. Bidders are solely responsible for safely moving and transporting their purchases.
In no event shall The Pickin Chick or its representatives be liable for any damages arising from participation in this auction or from the use, misuse, or inability to use any items purchased. By bidding, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify The Pickin Chick, its owners, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, or losses related to this sale.
By placing a bid, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted all Terms & Conditions. Failure to comply with any portion of these terms may result in bidding privileges being revoked or permanent removal from future auctions.

Importance of Pickup Date and Time: The scheduled pickup date and time are set to ensure a smooth and efficient process for all bidders and the auction team. It is crucial that all items are picked up within the designated pickup window. Failure to pick up your items during the scheduled time will result in forfeiture of those items, as we cannot guarantee storage or access to the property after pickup ends. Please plan accordingly to avoid losing any purchases. You are welcome to send someone on your behalf to pick up your items.

IMPORTANT: ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS. We do not clean, repair, or improve items in any way. No refunds or returns will be issued. Items are not tested unless specifically noted in the title or description, and any testing must be done onsite during pickup. Once an item leaves the pickup location, all sales are final. If you have questions or need additional information about an item, please contact us before the auction ends. Otherwise, bring any concerns with you to pickup—we’re happy to assist you onsite.

Photo ID and signature may be required at pickup at any time, in accordance with credit card processing requirements. For orders over $100, both are required without exception.

Bidders are fully responsible for the safe and timely removal of all items during the designated pickup window. Any damage to the property during removal will be the financial responsibility of the bidder. Please bring appropriate tools if disassembly is required, and enough help to move large or heavy furniture. Refer to Lot 1 for important pickup information, including which floor items are located on and whether the home has a walkout basement or other accessibility details. This will help you plan accordingly for a smooth and safe pickup.

Invoices are typically emailed within one hour of the auction ending. If you don’t see yours, please check your spam or junk folder and add info@2pickinchicks.com to your safe sender list. Please note: we have no control over how emails are delivered or filtered on your end. You are fully responsible for receiving your invoice and picking up items during the scheduled time. Pickup dates and times are clearly listed in multiple locations, including the auction notice, Lot 1 & 2, and your invoice. If you have questions or need another copy of your invoice, contact Heather—texting is preferred at 636-346-3493. Any time you see "WON" or "MAY HAVE WON" next to an item, that means you won and will receive an invoice. Keep an eye out, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you're having issues.

Bidders are responsible for verifying all items onsite before leaving. Each bidder is provided with a copy of their invoice at pickup. It is your responsibility to ensure you collect all of your items before leaving. Pickup can be busy, so we strongly recommend checking off each item on your invoice as you load them. Once the pickup window closes, any unclaimed items will be considered forfeited. Items listed as "working" or "tested" must be tested onsite.
