Description & Details

Online now for registration and early bidding, this auction is at 1:30pm central time on Wednesday, February 25th.

This is a specialty coin auction featuring nearly 200 lots of U.S. gold and silver coinage, bullion, and collector favorites spanning the 19th and 20th centuries.

There are just a couple of gold coins, but the highlight is the 1927 St. Gaudens $20 piece. Such a special coin.

Collectors of Morgan Dollars, Franklin Half Dollars, Walking Liberty Halves, Barber coinage, Mercury Dimes, Washington Quarters, and vintage U.S. Mint issues will find depth throughout this catalog. Silver content is strong across multiple denominations, with significant representation of 90% U.S. silver and .999 fine silver bullion.

Morgan Silver Dollars. Morgan Silver Dollars anchor the auction, with strong representation across key years including 1879, 1882, 1884, 1889, 1891, 1900, and 1921. These classic Liberty Head dollars remain one of the most actively collected series in American numismatics and continue to perform consistently in both collector and bullion-driven markets.

Franklin & Walking Liberty Half Dollars. Franklin Half Dollars appear in both individual dates and group formats, along with Walking Liberty Halves and earlier Barber Half Dollars. Dates from the 1950s and early 1960s are well represented, including 1951, 1953, 1958, 1960, 1961, 1962, and 1963 issues. The 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar also appears, marking the final year of 90% silver half dollar production.

Barber, Mercury & Roosevelt Dimes. Dime collectors will find Barber Dimes, Mercury Dimes, and Roosevelt silver issues offered in both individual and grouped lots. The presence of earlier Seated and Capped Bust types adds additional historical depth to the sale.

Washington Quarters & Silver Groups. Washington Quarters, including pre-1965 90% silver examples and Bicentennial issues, are offered individually and in group lots. Multiple “group” and multi-coin silver lots provide strong bullion-weight buying opportunities.

Lincoln Cents, Buffalo Nickels & Jefferson Nickels. The catalog also includes Lincoln Wheat Cents, Buffalo Nickels, and Jefferson Nickels, along with assorted U.S. Mint Sets and Proof Sets. These lots provide accessible entry points for beginning collectors and opportunities for date searching.

Bullion & .999 Fine Silver. For silver stackers and buyers, the auction features 1 oz .999 fine silver rounds, American Silver issues, and additional bullion-oriented lots. The presence of .999 silver rounds and 1oz pieces strengthens the auction’s appeal to both collectors and precious metals buyers.

Proof & Uncirculated Issues. Proof coins, uncirculated rolls, and U.S. Mint sets appear throughout the catalog, offering higher-grade material for collectors seeking preserved examples.

This specialty coin auction reflects the continued strength of classic U.S. silver coinage. Whether you are building a Morgan Dollar set, adding 90% silver to your holdings, searching for key date half dollars, or buying .999 fine silver rounds, this catalog offers a wide range of opportunities across collecting levels. KC Auction & Appraisal Company sells thousands of coins annually and continues to connect regional consignors with a national bidding audience through competitive online bidding. Review the full catalog, examine condition details carefully, and bid accordingly.
