Description & Details
This curated collection offers a selection of historically and artistically significant pieces. Highlights include a Chinese Lion Dragon Dance Mask featuring intricate hand-painted detail, and an American School 19th-century Hudson River landscape painting depicting a sailboat amid a wooded shoreline. The collection also presents a finely framed Chinese ink wash painting executed in the style of Qi Baishi, along with Julien Celos’ hand-colored etching European City and Francis Roth’s signed etching Autumne. Architectural elements are represented by a grand 1920s Commerce Bank five-foot lobby mirror and an antique blue painted wood pulpit retaining original surface. Decorative arts include a pair of early 20th-century turquoise glazed Chinese Foo Dogs and a 19th-century Mason’s Ironstone covered vase. Musical and furniture pieces of note include a J. Estey & Co. Victorian reed organ. Together, these works illustrate a wide range of cultural, artistic, and historical significance from both Western and Eastern traditions.
