✨ A TRUE LEXINGTON TREASURE – FILLED WITH GENERATIONS OF HISTORY ✨
Adkins Estate Sales is honored to present the Estate of Susan Shea Worthington — and this is truly one of the most rare, beautiful, and historically rich estates we’ve had the privilege to offer.
📍 1611 South St., Lexington, Missouri
🗓 Thursday, April 2 | 4 PM – 7 PM
🗓 Friday, April 3 | 9 AM – 3 PM
This is more than an estate sale… this is a walk through generations of family history.
Susan Shea Worthington was the only child of John and Doris Shea—and both of her parents were only children as well. That means the contents of this home represent multiple generations of carefully preserved family heirlooms, passed down from the Shea family of Macon, Missouri and the Dugan family of Perry, Iowa.
John Shea purchased the Lexington Advertiser-News in 1947 and the family made their home right here at 1611 South Street. Susan grew up in this very house, later returning in the 1990s where she lived until her passing in May of 2025.
What makes this estate truly special is how intact it remains. When Susan and Ken Worthington moved back into the home, they preserved much of the original décor—meaning you’ll experience the home much as it was decades ago.
🌍 The collection spans far beyond Lexington:
• Items gathered during family travels throughout Europe
• Unique oriental pieces collected by the Dugan family in the early 1900s
• Inventory and treasures from the historic “Doris Dugan Shop” gift shop in Perry, Iowa (1930s)
• Antiques and collectibles passed down through multiple generations
🛍 Expect to find:
🏺 Beautiful antiques with true provenance
🖼 Artwork and prints
🍽 Fine china and glassware
🪑 Quality, well-kept furniture
💎 Jewelry
🏠 Rare and unique household treasures you won’t see anywhere else
