Gigi led an inspiriting life. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, building a successful career in nursing and healthcare management while raising her two children as a single mother. Gigi loved engaging in conversation on a wide range of topics, including world travel, nature, the arts, and politics. Those fortunate enough to have known her will always remember her warm smile, contagious laughter, and vibrant zest for life. Her joy of collecting was infectious, and attending an auction alongside her was an experience that left a lasting impression.

We are proud to host the estate sale of Diana "Gigi" Eley.  Gigi was one of the Midwest's most prolific and finest collectors. She had a reputation for her ferocious appetite of collecting and she did not discriminate when it came to where or what she would acquire, however, Gigi did not buy impulsively; she was a true connoisseur with a genuine affection for every item that she added to her collection.

She was a fixture client at auction houses like Link Auction Galleries, Sothebys, Christies, New Orleans and others. She purchased items from private galleries and antique shops both locally and internationally.  

Outside of art and antiques, she had a deep passion for fashion and was a prolific shopper spending her time at Saks 5th Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor's, Nordstroms, Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdales.
