2) Commitment to Purchase — Placing a bid is a binding agreement. If you are the winning bidder, you are responsible for paying for and picking up your item(s), or making approved shipping/delivery arrangements. Please do not bid unless you intend to complete the purchase.
3) Pickup Requirements — Winning bidders must pick up purchases during the scheduled pickup window, unless prior arrangements for shipping/delivery have been made. Buyers must bring their own tools and help to move large or heavy items. Loading assistance is not provided, and some items may be located on stairs, basements, or outbuildings.
4) Alternative Pickup / Holding Fees — If you cannot attend during the scheduled pickup time, you must contact us prior to pickup. Alternative arrangements are not guaranteed. If granted, a $50 fee may apply. Small lots may be held at our studio only if pre-arranged, at $10 per day. Items not collected within 7 days (without communication) will be considered forfeited and no refunds issued.
5) Invoices & Payments — Receipts are emailed once the sale closes and payment is secured. Invoices under $5,000 will be automatically charged to the primary card on file. Invoices over $5,000 will be charged a 10% deposit, with the balance due before pickup or shipping. Items cannot be released until invoices are paid in full.
6) Shipping ****** IMPORTANT *****SHIPPING IS ONLY AVAILABLE FOR ITEMS DESIGNATED AS AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING.ITEMS DESIGNATED AS PICKUP ONLY WILL NOT BE SHIPPED.
a) Shipping is provided for eligible items at buyer's expense.
b) We use USPS or UPS depending on the item.
c) Handling fee: $10 for the first lot, $8 for each additional lot
d) Insurance is required for items valued over $100.
e) Not all lots are eligible for shipping — please inquire in advance at ogerroll@caringtransitions.com.
f) Separate invoices for shipping will be provided. These must be approved and paid by the buyer before shipment, as we cannot unilaterally charge your card once the auction invoice has been settled.
7) Failure to Pay or Collect — If payment is not received or items are not collected during the scheduled pickup, purchases will be forfeited and resold or donated. No refunds will be given. Bidding privileges may be revoked.
8) Taxes & Fees — An 18% buyer’s premium and 7% sales tax are added to all winning bids.
9) Condition of Items — We strive to describe items as accurately as possible. Expect normal wear consistent with antiques, vintage, or used goods. Not all flaws are listed. All items are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS,” with no warranties or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of clocks, watches, electronics, or mechanical devices. Dimensions provided may be approximate.
10) Auction Close — Auctions use a soft close. If a bid is placed in the final minutes, the ending time will extend briefly to allow additional bids, simulating a live auction.
