About the Sale

This auction features items from the private collection of Gaetano Lanza, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1875 until 1911, where he headed the Department of Mechanical Engineering. You'll find this noted in the description for those items. There is also vintage costume jewelry with gold and sterling pieces, vintage ephemera, sterling and plated cutlery and a collection of Madame Alexander and Effanbee dolls, as well as some holiday figures and Spode Christmas Tree sets.
