Buyer acknowledges that Gold Mine Estate Sales does not have any responsibility or liability for the website(s) used for Internet bidding. Seller acknowledges that Gold Mine Estate Sales may not have any control over the website(s) and cannot guarantee its operation or performance. There are occasional interruptions and delays relating to the use of the Internet and the Website. Furthermore, Gold Mine Estate Sales shall not be held liable for lost profits/bids or responsible for the function of the website or its inability to function. Buyer acknowledges that hardware malfunctions, software malfunctions, viruses, and similar issues do occur and are beyond the knowledge, scope, and control of Gold Mine Estate Sales.
The website is administered by Gold Mine Estate Sales from its offices in the United States of America. Individuals must reside within the United States of America to register to bid online. Gold Mine Estate Sales will not accept bids from individuals who reside outside of the United States of America and its territories. If you access the website from a location outside of the United States of America and its territories, Buyer consents to exclusive and continuing jurisdiction in the United States of America and agrees to be bound by and comply with all applicable laws.
Gold Mine Estate Sales reserves the right to deny any person for any reason permission or access to bid online.

Starting Bids
Starting bids begin at 25% of the Fair Market Value (FMV).
Reserves
Items in this auction may be subject to an undisclosed reserve price. Item typically begin at the reserve price (25% of FMV) . Should the leading bid at expiry not meet the reserve price, the item will not be sold.
Buyers Premium
Items in this auction are sold subject to a buyer's premium of 10%, which will be added to the winning bid.
Automatic Extensions
Items in this auction are subject to an automatic extension feature. If a bid is received within 2 minutes of expiry, bidding is extended by 2 minutes. These times, and the number of extensions which may take place, may be changed by the auction administrator without notice.
Payments
Payments are due 48 hours of auction closing. (Example: Auction Lot 056 Ended at 9:52 PM. THEN, Payment will be due 48 hours from 9:52 PM. Payments can be processed in person or online by clicking Pay an Invoice located at the bottom of this page in the left hand bottom corner. Failure to process a payment within 48 hours will result in your item being sold to next bidder or pulled entirely from the sale by the auctioneer.
Live View / In Person Evaluations
In-person evaluations of all items are encouraged to all interested and active bidders. All lots are with a description that contains a general observation. Within our observation we provide you a condition that adheres to the following scale:
New - Never used within original packaging.
Like-New - Recently purchased with proof of purchase - Purchased within 3 months.
Excellent - Used with no wear and tear present.
Good - Used with expected minor wear and tear present (See Minor Wear & Tear Photos included in auction lot photos)
Fair - Used with moderate wear and tear present (See Photos of Damage within auction lot photos)
As-Is - Item is broken/defective/in need of restoral or is an appliance that we are not allowed to pass conclude judgments on.
Gold Mine Estate Sales disclaims any liability for damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental, resulting from bids not spotted, executed, or accepted. Bidders should also be careful to bid on the correct lot and ensure that his/her bid is for the amount intended. Gold Mine Estate Sales is not responsible for computer or human error which may result in any customer dissatisfaction. We reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids or bidders for any reason without any notice or explanation granted. The Home
Jack and Susie's home is a sanctuary filled with warmth and creativity. Each room tells a story, showcasing their unique tastes and the memories they've created together. From the cozy living room adorned with family photographs to the kitchen that serves as the heart of their culinary adventures, their home is a true reflection of their life together.
The Hobby
Both Jack and Susie share a love for various hobbies that bring them joy and strengthen their bond. Whether it's gardening, painting, or exploring new recipes, their hobbies are a testament to their shared interests and the fun they have together. These activities not only enrich their lives but also serve as a way to connect with friends and family.
The Legacy
On December 13, 1920, Jack was born to Duck “D.C.” Chew and Sum Shue Tscui in Canton, China. He joined the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II, serving from July 2, 1942, and was honorably discharged on September 30, 1945. While in the service, Jack was an Airplane Armorer Tail Gunner and carried an Airplane Armorer Qualification Badge. He was a prisoner of war after his plane was shot down over Germany in 1943. Jack had an outstanding military career receiving many decorations and medals, including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Air Medal, and European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon. He was a proud, decorated veteran.
Jack was the beloved husband of Susie Chew, whom he married on June 1, 1947, in China. He was a hard worker, and his life was dedicated to being a great provider for his family. Jack was the owner of Chew Den, Chew’s West, and Chew’s Oriental Gifts in Roswell, NM. He made a difference in the community, where he would volunteer to get charities that would benefit children from the Shriner Children’s Hospital. Jack was an active member of the Lions Club, Eagles, and Elks.
Jack was family-oriented and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching tennis, baseball, and football, and his preferred teams were the Arizona Diamondbacks and the New England Patriots. His favorite hobby was collecting coins.
