There was a time when an estate auction, held in Beacon and everywhere else for that matter, was not only a business event but a social one as well. Weekday on site and gallery sales where mostly friendly competition, often great auction food, parking lot deals, meet and greets and the sharing of the all important local business news and gossip prevailed. And of course the long gone 10% buyers premiums and no competition from thousands of online bidders were the norm.
In that spirit, Hudson Valley Auctioneers, located at 432 Main Street, Beacon, New York will offer the opportunity to experience that again, or for the first time, Wednesday August 13th at 10 am. An in house and absentee bid only, unreserved auction with a 10% buyers premium. No food or seating available. Plan to bring both.
Slightly inundated with several estates in process and in the warehouse slated for September sales we need to sell a one owner long held storage unit at auction in our Main Street gallery. The consignor is a long time client, now slowly emptying several storage units filled and locked since the 1990's. Many items with original auction tags and tag sale stickers. Previews will be held Tuesday August 12th 10-3 and Wednesday 9-10.
Gallery is open for payments and Thursday and Friday 8/14 and 15 for pickup from 9am to 3pm and Saturday 8/16 at 9am as all purchases must be removed by Saturday at 1pm. Some images will be posted on Facebook and Estate sales.net and in the next edition of the Antique and Arts weekly.
