Historic Hudson Valley, New York Auction

The Livingston’s - Portraits, Important 18th C. Assembly Journal, Ephemera, and Antiques!Introduction

We are thrilled to announce an on-line auction event that promises to captivate Hudson Valley historians, collectors, and enthusiasts alike—the upcoming auction is scheduled to take place on July 17, 2025. Hosted by Blueberry Hill Galleries, this on-line auction with bidding only at Clearing House Estate Sales will showcase an extraordinary array of rare, one-of-a-kind items, presenting a local opportunity for individuals to acquire treasures of historical, artistic, and regional significance.

About the Auction

The auction features a small but unique collection of historical items from Mystery Point, a Colonial Revival brick mansion built in 1894. Now called Manitou Point, in Garrison, NY, it was once owned by Edward Livingston, descendent of Philip Livingston, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The home, along with some of its remaining contents, was purchased in 1938 by Edward Swinburne, Esq. from Edward Livingston’s daughter, Clarisse Hazeltine Livingston. Mr. Swinburne’s, only daughter Diana, has decided the time is right to sell these pieces of Hudson Valley history, so they may be appreciated by future generations for years to come. Whether you are in search of timeless masterpieces, investment-worthy artifacts, or simply wish to indulge your passion for unique finds, this auction will cater to all interests.
