Our Library of Curiosities auction features selections from the collection of John A Davidson Jr., a life long collector of rare books. John was extraordinarily interested in a wide array of subjects from the beginning of publishing through the twentieth century. His collection includes James Cooke's A Voyage to the Pacific Ocean (1784), a first edition of John Frederick Miller's(1759-1796). Cimelia Physica, and from 1599 Richard Hakluyt's (1552-1616). The Principal Navigations, Voyages, Traffiques and Discoveries of the English Nation, amongst many other fascinating and rare books.
