Description & Details
We're back in SW Portland this weekend with a great sale!
If you love classic oak antiques, music, Portland history, or are looking to add a little ambiance to your home - come see us.
BUSINESS FIRST:
There will be a sign up sheet placed outside the home at 9am. You will be responsible for adding your name. ONE name per number, please. We will start letting folks in at 10am and will bring in as many as the home will comfortably/safely fit. IF the house gets too full, we will resort to one in, for every one out.
PARKING WILL BE TRICKY. Please do not park in front of the home. Those (few) spaces will be reserved for employees and loading. You will need to park on a side street and walk over (it's not terrible!)
What's inside?
FYI - home is a split level, so there are stairs.
LIVING ROOM:
As you enter, you will see a gorgeous classic antique oak hall tree... turn to the left and you'll enter the living room where there are more great pieces! TWO incredible antique oak cabinets with glass fronts. These are not your usual curved front curios... these are very unique and have the coolest shelf structure inside. Speaking of inside - in the cabinets are lots of old books, including several on Portland and the PNW. Cat figures, swing frames, copper teapot and other interesting finds! On top of one - there is a Nipper salt and pepper set, as well as a great record holder with marble record. The lamps - oh my, the lamps! I know there is a name and I'm sure someone will come tell me at the sale - but I cannot find what they are called! But what I do know is that they are amazing. I usually only see one in a blue moon (no pun intended) - but here we have several. Art deco style figural lamps with the cut glass behind the figure - dogs, buffalo, ships.... they are wonderful and all work! Back to furniture - we have two antique oak accent tables - one with claw feet and the other with a FACE on the claw feet! Super cute antique sofa with matching chairs, oak coffee table and a gorgeous desk. Antique style floor lamps, glass - including uranium, pottery, and... some real Portland history. Don't shoot the seller! We've got lots of Coon Chicken pieces. I think we can all agree that this was not the best moment for us, but it was a moment in time and there are collectors out there. If you are one of them - you'll want to come to this sale. Ashtray/cup/poster/placemat/photos and more! Also some Little Black Sambo items (including a record). We've got a tabletop antique radio (works!), brass telescope, some games, binoculars, fantastic stained glass, copper boiler and an incredible mirror front wardrobe cabinet.
KITCHEN/DINING ROOM:
To the right of the entry is the dining room with kitchen. In the dining room you'll find a gorgeous oak dining table with leaves and several chairs. Silverplate flatware sets, fine china (including Lenox Windsor), MORE art deco lamps, stained glass, floral chair and more formal table ware. There is an amazing hutch with fold out desk in the same style as the living room cabinets. It is so pretty!! Inside are more glass and china pieces with some other treasures.
in the kitchen we've got pottery dishes, vintage florals, Pillsbury collectible kitchen items, lots of practical and decorative kitchen things, white dishes as well as spices and some food items.
