There simply aren't enough adjectives to describe this early 20th Century Kashan rug! A massive 11 x 20 feet, with a pile of at least an inch thick! The rug was purchased (gently used, from a family friend) in the late 60s, when our clients' parents were living in Midtown Memphis. In the mid-70's, it was Insured for $10,000 – nearly $60K in today's money! It could use a light cleaning, and the edge that once sat adjacent to sliding glass doors is just a tiny bit faded, otherwise in GREAT condition! No worn spots, at all. $4,000.Please see full description in main photo for this item. Please see full description in main photo for this item. Please see full description in main photo for this item. Please see full description in main photo for this item. The rug is so special, we gave it its own room! This display / storage cabinet was commissioned by our clients' father for one of his several Indonesian resort hotel projects. Many of the knapped obsidian pieces show signs of mineral deposits under the loop, most of the broken effigy pieces do not. "Experts" have told me everything from they are fake molds to they were made for centuries and cast into the fields to appease the gods. These are definitely not molds. Each and every effigy was made by hand, at some point. Some could be 100 years old, some could be 1,000 or more. I leave it up to the buyer to decide. Either way, they are stunning. Mat area is 19x15, frame adds 3" all round. $400.Please see full description in main photo for this item. Please see full description in main photo for this item."Faithful reproductions", these traditional Indonesian wedding figures were made in the precise manner they have been for centuries! Astonishing Early American Georgian tall boy chest-on-chest! Completely handmade from virgin timber, sometime between 1780-1820. Still completely original (*) and intact, with all of its original solid brass imported hardware! The sides are solid Walnut, drawer fronts are burled Walnut veneer over a coniferous face piece. Drawer bottoms are Oak, all other non-exposed solid wood pieces are coniferous. 40x20x79. $12,000. NOTE: This piece WILL NOT be at the sale. Shown by appointment only. (My warehouse is literally just a mile away.) (*) The ONLY drawback to this piece is that at some point in its life, someone applied a non-breathable finish coat, which has caused a slight degradation to some of the burled Walnut veneer. Nothing more than a slight cracking, the solid Walnut sides are fine. Of course, as any Keno Brothers fan will tell you, anything other than the original finish negatively impacts the total value, which is appropriately reflected in the price. Please see full description in main photo for this item. Please see full description in main photo for this item. Please see full description in main photo for this item. Please see full description in main photo for this item. Please see full description in main photo for this item. Please see full description in main photo for this item. This is an extremely rare opportunity to own a custom fabricated, deep profile, painted stainless steel vintage Dr Pepper sign!
