A message from the client:

"My parents built a life together rooted in hard work, integrity, and an enduring sense of possibility. Married for 71 years, they were true participants in the American dream. Dolores recently passed and my father has relocated to be near his sons in Fountain Hills Arizona. 

My dad, a Purple Heart recipient, returned from the Korean War and soon after married Dolores. He worked over three decades at Monsanto, missing only one day of work in 35 years. My mother began as a bank teller at Chase and eventually became president of three Chase banks in the Houston area—an extraordinary journey during a time when few women held such roles.

Though they raised their family in the small town of Dickinson, Texas, their vision was global. They traveled extensively through Europe, bringing home items that reflected their appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and beauty—such as the Viennese teapot set displayed in the hutch built by my dad's great-grandfather.

My mom had a true gift for hospitality. As a proud Southern woman, she knew how to throw a party—especially at Christmas, when the entire house would sparkle with decorations. She was active in multiple bridge clubs, and in her later years took up Mahjong with the same enthusiasm she brought to everything else. Their home was a warm, social place filled with laughter, friends, and the scent of good cooking. This is evident by all the entertaining items you will find within the estate.

They retired to League City in 2004, bringing with them a life’s worth of collected memories—from family heirlooms like the 100-year-old rocker in the front study to carefully chosen pieces from their travels.

This estate sale reflects not just what they owned, but who they were: two people who lived modestly but richly, always believing in the promise of hard work, love, laughter, and curiosity.
