Estate Liquidation of Family’s Two Homes and Warehouse
Talk about an unusual sale. This is a great one to end the year based on both quantity, uniqueness and unexpected value on some of the “stuff”.
We have combined this family’s large Arlington, Texas home with their four bedroom “country place” and its on-site 6000 square foot warehouse. It isn’t a pretty as we want it to be, but there is just so much stuff that we have put tables, racks and displays in just about every open area available. The owner had a passion for airplanes and expressed it in combat and acrobatic remote and tethered airplanes — we have over 100 assembled with engines and ready to fly (small to 50” wingspans). Just to make sure he never was without, he has a collection of new-in-box balsa and plastic models dating a far back as the 40’s and covering all sizes, brands (Amerindian, Veco, Sterling, Guillow’s, Monogram, Enterprise, Cox, Speedee-Bilt, Midwest, Dumas, Berkeley, and others).
Naturally, the engines were also important and we have new-in-box models of all sizes from .15 UP ( Fox, Veco, Enya, SuperTigre, Johnson, K&B, Cox, NorVel, and more). Add in other select toys that are still new in box, tethered and remote controlled boats, display models, car models, tractor models and you have a really interesting sale.
Just to make it something that you don’t see every day, let’s add eleven motor cycles: Two YAMAHA TDM’s, two British Enfields, a Whizzer, a restored 1958 Cushman, a restored 1963 Cushman, a pair of Super Bronc’s and others. Not peaked you interest yet — well everyone needs a tractor or two and we have a John Deere 4710 and an old GIBSON. Still doesn’t seem interesting enough, well how about a 1976 ARGOSY RV — That’s the painted version of the AIRSTREAM and this one still has the 1970’s yellow interior.
Now, to keep all these things in proper working order one needs tools. In the photos you will see the number of tool boxes and drawer-sets this gentleman owned — tools in almost every one. Specialty items for his airplanes, repair kits for engines even though there are over 250 new-in-box engines. Since we are at the farm, we also have lifts, tools, accessories for all the equipment plus some things that remain to be identified — they even confused the AI reference tools. Lots of shelving to hold all of this will also be sold as the sale progresses.
