The official list goes out at 7am. Early birds may create a list to indicate their place in line, but those names must be transferred to the official list and all must be present at that time (you can't sign in at 6 am and leave--you can leave after you sign in at 7 am.)
We accept cash, credit cards ($10 min - no fee), Venmo and Zelle. Sorry, we do not accept checks.
All sales are final. Please, try it on, turn it on and inspect it before purchasing.
Buyers are responsible for having the necessary tools to dismantle furniture, load, and move the items purchased.
All items must be picked up by the end of the sale.
We have limited bags and wrap for fragile items, so please bring your own.
Buyers are responsible for moving and loading purchases. SBG staff are not available to help.
Shoplifters will be prosecuted when caught.
If possible, leave the kids at home, otherwise please watch them and don’t let them run through house unsupervised.
No public bathrooms available.

The initial sale (Dec. 20) on this limited to art, Christmas decs and furniture was a blast but just a start. Those of you who came out surely got a good glimpse of what’s coming next
This estate sale is so massive we're doing it in phases--and this week, we're opening the full house with more to come in the following weeks as we create more space to introduce more items from the attic and other storage.
For those of you who have been here, yep, there's still a lot of original art and good furniture. Now we are busting out the smalls, the collectibles, lamps and clothing which this military and artistic family acquired over decades. He was an WW2 bomber pilot, she was an artist inspired by her time in Europe who later opened a generational art gallery in Alexandria
This sale includes original artwork, vintage women’s clothing and apparel that goes back decades, vintage linens and hand-sewn quilts, home decor, beautiful brass and copper item and a display cabinet from the iconic Brenner’s Bakery.
This weekend you'll find:
- Original Artwork – Classical and modern works which made their way into the gallery and collections in the Washington DC DMV region via Hodges. The artists include Samuel Baldwin Pratt, Oscar Howe, Pulak Gogoi, Robert Bruce Williams, Joe and Mary Bodner, M. Ziegler, Bourdelon, Van der Loeff, Doris Gilbert, Paul Henze Morro, K. Warnaar, Mavique, Pat Hodges and others. Much of the art is European inspired as Hodges painted while stationed in Europe during WWII. She later turned to more abstract pieces. All art is professionally framed in frames that stand as works of art themselves.
- Framing: Handmade ornate framing available by Hodges Galleries.
- Unique furniture pieces: Primitive buggy bench, midcentury hand carved storage chests and an antique marble top washstand.
- Handmade Quilts: Beautifully hand-crafted quilts including popular patterns, Lone Star, Log Cabin, Grandmother's Fan, Grandmother's Flower Garden and several crazy quilts.
- Ladies’ Clothing and Accessories: Tons of women's apparel, including vintage pieces from the 60's-90's.
- Sewing, Craft & Jewelry-Making Supplies: Vintage fabrics, sewing notions, and jewelry making supplies
- Lighting: Vintage stain glass tulip swag lamp, Tiffany style lamp and vintage stain glass chandelier
- Vintage Kitchen and Dining Ware: Noritake pink goblets, Rosental Maria white china set, pink depression glass.
- Mirrors: American federal style mirrors and other golden gilded ornate mirrors.
