There are brick stairs to enter the house.
No large backpacks or large bags. There is not room for strollers.
Two (2) separate security systems are in place. As well as APD and OHA staff.
Speak directly to the Sale Manager regarding offers on any item. In fairness to everyone, serious offers should be in writing with phone numbers.
All items must be picked up by end of the sale or arrangements made with Sale Manager. Please bring help to move or load heavy items.
The house has uneven floors and the outside brick stairs are tricky. Please observe caution tape on the floorThere are single step-up's and step downs in some doorways. Not recommended for those with mobility issues.

History is about to be made again! The very last of the "Legendary Sales" at 517 Prince, one of the areas most remarkable properties - dating from 1772.
The end of an era, but the beginning of a new one. A last chance to own a piece of history from this amazing house, as it is transitioned to the city of Alexandria and protected to become part of the public domain.
Many of the items have been in the house for newly 200 years - as the ownership was passed from family and much has been left behind. This in itself is nearly unique in archival history!
The most recent owner passed recently at 99 years of age. He was famous for being a voracious collector who "rescued" unique things often with imperfections, but rock solid in their authenticity. . . including the house itself. It was purchased, partially furnished, with antiques and art - Some datint back to 1804. The extensive collection includes:
