EIGHT GENERATIONS OF HISTORIC TREASURES
Online Auction
INTERNET BIDDING FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE
The Clark family traveled extensively throughout Europe, China, and the Philippines, acquiring many of the distinctive treasures now being offered in this Blacksburg auction. Carefully preserved through eight generations, these items reflect not only exceptional craftsmanship and history, but also the story of a family with a rich cultural legacy and appreciation for fine and unique objects from around the world.
Among the exceptional highlights are original 19th-century oil paintings, a signed document by President William McKinley, sterling silver, antique gold and silver jewelry, several CDV albums, and an antique wooden spice cabinet. Collectors will also discover an antique Chinese Canton porcelain blue export serving platter, antique cutlery box, antique brass three-tier mailbox, early American red wash pantry boxes, and a rare antique wooden B.C. Clark Mercantile sign.
Additional featured pieces include a Plymouth Cordage Company boxwood and brass rope caliper rule, a salesman sample wood dresser, antique photo albums, Hitchcock Federal mirror, flow blue serving pieces, Minton china, Delft ceramics, and a Van Briggle Luna Moth vase. Decorative and primitive offerings include an antique pine New England pipe box, Italian, French, and Dutch tobacco pipes, an Arts & Crafts era copper fire starter, hand-wrought copper tea kettle, ornate wooden watch holder, mahogany shaving mirror, quilts, primitive tools and kitchenware, and an antique 1889 French brass and wood crystal regulator clock with mercury pendulum.
The auction also features a Vintage Moroccan Kilim flat weave rug, a 19th-century North Indian cashmere wool paisley shawl, glassware, antique brass smudge pot, Griswold square egg skillet, and countless other treasures that showcase generations of careful collecting and preservation. This is truly a catalog filled with history, character, and timeless appeal for collectors, decorators, and history enthusiasts alike.
