Registration: Welcome to CTBids! If you are new to our site, you will need to register and add a payment method to your account to place a bid. To register, click the Registration button in the menu bar at the top and type in all required information. Then you may sign in and bid. Bidding: You must be signed in and add a valid payment method to your account to place a bid. By placing a bid, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Our auction site is designed to replicate a live auction. When bids are placed near the close of an item, extra time is added to allow all bidders a chance to win the item. If identical bids are placed on an item, the first person to place their bid will be awarded the item if it is the high bid.
You can place a MAXIMUM bid and the system will bid automatically and incrementally for you up to your maximum. It WILL NOT start at the maximum, only bid incrementally.
Bidding: All items are sold as is. Descriptions are provided to the best of our ability, but no guarantees are made regarding condition, age, authenticity or completeness. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos, descriptions, and measurements prior to bidding.
Payment: Payment of all invoices must be fully completed within 24 hours of receipt. *If you do not receive a copy of your invoice via email, please log into your account on CTBids and view Invoices/Receipts.
Payment. Failure to pay within the required timeframe will result in forfeiture of the lot(s), with no refund or recourse. Unpaid lots may be offered to the next highest bidder or disposed of at our discretion.
TUESDAY PICKUP
Pick-up: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in Virginia Beach, VA 23451. The full address for pick-up will be on winning bidders' invoices. Local pickup is offered during scheduled pickup times only. You MUST bring all necessary help, tools, materials, transportation, etc., to remove items. CTBids staff are not responsible for loading of lifting won items. Staff is not authorized to assist at pick-ups. Item not picked up during the designated appointment time will be considered forfeited with no refund, unless prior arrangements have been approved in writing. Forfeited items may be resold, donated or disposed of at our discretion. No refunds, credits or exchanges will be issued. Forfeited large heavy items, such as furniture may incur a cost of $180 per hour with a 2-hour minimum for removal of item(s).
Liability: Buyers assume all risk when bidding, picking up, or shipping items. Caring Transitions of Virginia Beach East and its staff are not liable for accidents, injuries, damage or loss that occur on-site, during transport, or via shipping center. By participating in this auction, buyers agree to hold Caring Transitions of Virginia Beach East harmless from any claims, disputes, or damages related to the purchase, handling, or use of items.
Shipping: BUYER AWARNESS -- SHIPPING IS A SEPARATE CHARGE ORIGINATING FROM VA - 23454. Payment for items does not include shipping costs. Shipping invoice must be paid within 48 hours of receipt. If shipping charges are not paid by this required deadline, the purchase will be considered forfeited with no refund.
Shipping: Shipping is available on select items only (no rugs, furniture, or large items) at buyer's request and expense. All shipping charges (packing, handling, insurance, carrier fees) are billed separately and must be paid in full before items are released. Unpaid shipping results in forfeiture with no refund.
NOTE: Please make sure your address is updated in CTBids BEFORE placing a bid. Items will be shipped to the address that appears on your invoice for that auction. If you have not updated your address, Caring Transitions is not liable for items sent to the wrong address.
Terms: All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. All sales are final. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase and a winning bid is a contract between you and the seller. All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold with no refund. Express Checkout: By having a credit card on file, you agree to the card maintenance terms outlined in bullet point 1 under Payment Info. You also agree and acknowledge that you will maintain valid payment information within your user profile so long as you maintain an account with Caring Transitions of Virginia Beach East and that you are authorized to use the designated payment method. Caring Transitions of Virginia Beach East reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel listings or bids or suspend bidding privileges of any user not maintaining valid payment information. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, we may collect amounts owed by charging other payment methods on file with us, and/or retain collection agencies and legal counsel. In addition, you may be subject to late fees and interest in Caring Transitions of Virginia Beach East discretion which will not exceed the maximum amount permitted by applicable law. A shipping or delivery invoice will be created, and charges will be discussed between you and the Seller; a shipping or delivery invoice must be paid before receiving items. If you do not elect a fulfillment method and do not pick the item(s) up during the scheduled pickup time outlined on our Terms and Conditions or your receipt, Caring Transitions of Virginia Beach East reserves the right to charge your payment method on file for the greater of the total purchase price of the item plus any applicable handling and shipping charges or a $40.00 restocking fee and may ship the item to your address of record. You hereby expressly grant Caring Transitions the right to hold a winning item until confirmation of cleared funds has been received by Caring Transitions.
