Description & Details

We've got a great one this weekend!!

Beautiful home... beautiful, interesting things! These folks have great taste and they have decided to part with most of their treasures and pass them along to you. Years of history, travel and collecting are all here for you to shop!

BUSINESS FIRST:

There will be a sign up sheet. It will go outside the home at 9am on Saturday - you will be responsible for adding your name. ONE name per # - PLEASE. There is NO parking in the driveway - only for employees and loading/ dropping off. When you see it, you'll see why. It's a short driveway, so don't panic. This parking won't be insane like the last one.

We will line folks up at 9:50am and let in as many as will comfortably fit at 10am. There are stairs. There is also a separate garage. Things you should know! If we get too full and it's becoming unsafe or impossible to shop, we will meter how many come in at a time. But, it's a pretty big house!

Home is alarmed and someone MIGHT be staying there over the weekend. Please do not disturb.

Also - IMPORTANT - There is NO holding space. All of our tables and shelves have been used in this home and we simply ran out of room. BRING YOUR BAGS. Utilize our baskets and if you need to "make a pile" - we'll help you find a spot.

What's inside?

LIVING ROOM:

We've got TWO beautiful barrister bookcases. First has 6 shelves and is made by Globe-Wernicke. Just gorgeous! Filled with lots of old books and eclectic decor. Next is a shorter one - 3 shelves - but it's got a great base. Pretty sure it's a "marriage", but it's got a drawer with great green glass knobs and claw feet. Mid shelf can be sticky, but super easy to fix. (it's slightly off track) It's filled with more blue and white - lots of Delft, white elephants and more old books. Next is an incredible primitive style cabinet - maybe my favorite piece - and so on trend right now! She's got shelves inside and fabulous hardware. Topped with blue and white - Churchills, cranberry souvenir glass and a cool MCM Regency style lamp. There is a stunning (deco?) secretary with glass doors. Such a cool piece! It's loaded up with (you guessed it) MORE old books, tea cups, Popeye plate, pottery... topped with even more books, gorgeous colored glass and brass/milk glass hurricane lamp. There are a pair of Thomasville oak bookcases - one with a fold out desk (or in this case - bar) - pretty storage and classic design. These are filled with antique and MCM pottery, wood candleholders, and old radio (works!), barware, lots of PNW and CA books. Pretty and perfectly worn black antique rocking chair, art books, bowl of crosses, TWO furs (we're coming back in style - grab 'em before next winter when they're more expensive!), MCM slag glass hanging lamp, painted yellow antique trunk, BOWL of costume jewelry, TWO wonderful vintage (my guess is from Alaska) coats with embroidered ribbon detail and fur trim, a pair of vintage accent chair, Pendleton Rose Parade blanket (with box), small embroidered foot stool, tall antique plant stand, rotating book holder... and the unicorn in the room - The Pendleton DISNEY Knockabout poncho! What a great find!

Oh, and I can't leave out the art. Mid Century ALASKA?! This is a thing and it is wonderful. I've never looked at water buffalo like this before. There is a Bennett and other really great original pieces.

There will also be a cabinet near the register with better watches and sterling silver. Some of the jewelry at this sale is really great!
