Qualifications
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND: B.S. Degree in Education form Olivet University, Bourbonnais, Illinois. Successfully completed the following Core Courses developed by the International Society of Appraisers in conjunction with Indiana University of Continuing Studies as a part of a certification program for personal property appraisers. Core Courses were completed at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.
Completed core courses 101, 102, 103. In addition, completed advanced courses: Course 104, Advanced Appraisal Theory and Report Writing. Course 105, The Appraiser as Expert Witness. Course ISA 105, The Appraisal of Appreciable Contents. Course ISA 106, The Appraisal of Depreciable Contents.
CAPP DESIGNATION: The CAPP (Certified Appraiser of Personal Property) designation is the highest designation granted by the Society. To receive the CAPP Designation, one must successfully complete above described courses with overall comprehensive testing. CAPP achieved in two specialist areas: Course ISA 105, The Appraisal of Appreciable Contents. Course ISA 106, The Appraisal of Depreciable Contents.
RE-CERTIFICATION: - 1999 - Complete study of the Core Courses - 101, 102, 103. The ISA Core Courses include changes and updates of the original material studied. Completed testing of material included in the three courses successfully. In addition to completion of the course study one must accumulate a set number of points by continuing education in the field and appraisal study participation.
RE-CERTIFICATION: - 2010 – Current USPAP course 2010-2011- Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, completed February 2010 at Northern Illinois University, Naperville, IL. 2006 -Complete study and testing of appraisal theory and new standards.
