Recently I had the pleasure of working with Blue Moon Estate Sales. It was a difficult time for me, both emotionally and logistically, as I was preparing an estate sale for the contents of the house of my recently passed aunt, and was trying to coordinate most of it from out of state. During my small window of time to the Raleigh area, I called Mr. Ken Blue and, understanding my situation and time constraints, he found time to meet with me immediately. Mr. Blue explained all aspects of the process of an estate sale very thoroughly, covering many things I had not even thought of, and answered all of my questions. He and his employees went above and beyond arranging to get the house ready for the sale since I was unable to help with the preparations after returning to my home state. Blue Moon handled our recent living estate sale in exemplary fashion. My expectations were greatly exceeded. Ken Blue the owner and his son David worked with us in such a way that they established trust early, and then made what was a very unfamiliar process an easy and transparent one for me. Like most folks I juggle lots of balls and having someone I trusted off-load the entire process and communicate with me regularly took a huge burden off my shoulders. The final estate sale proceeds beat my hopes by well more than 50%. This was due to Ken and Dave’s knowledge of antiques, china, jewelry, and how to price them to draw buyers and provide value for my father’s estate. There were some nice finds in my parent’s belongings and they did the due diligence on a couple pieces resulted in a far greater selling price then I ever expected. Finally they have established a great presence in NC and the audience they drew to the sale was impressive and resulted in a near total clearing of items for sale.
