We understand that many reasons for holding a sale are not necessarily happy reasons, and we can help you move through this process with respect, grace, and empathy.
We will assess your house contents for quality and quantity, advise you on how best to proceed to get the greatest results, will stage, price, advertise and hold sales from within the home, and assist in re-housing what's left by donation or clean out.
No upfront funds are required, we take care of everything for you.
Our Team:
Emma - I own and operate Beacon Flea Market in Beacon, NY. I watch the trends, and am constantly learning about the history of our area and the beautiful things we choose to bring into our home. Originally from the UK, I worked for an antiques shipping company in NYC, before moving to Beacon with my family. I have built an extensive following of customers through social media, and cross-promote sales with the flea market followers.
Anthony - Co-promotor of the Beacon Flea Market, and a full time dealer buying, selling and appraising 20th Century design and fine art. A staple on the show circuit since 1992 at The Pier Show, Modern Show at the Armory, Brimfield and 26th St, NYC. Also completed the NYU Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program.
We have a team of trusted and hardworking people that usually come towards the end of the set up period, and for the days of the sale, as additional security and to assist our customers.

"My husband and I recently engaged Emma, since we were moving out of state and wanted to sell many things that we weren't taking to our new home. It was a tough moving sale, as we were still living in our house while the moving sale was being organized. So - to say our house was chaotic is an understatement.
I never saw people work harder in my life. They were in my house for days, organizing, putting up tables, pricing, researching. They were fabulous and I really enjoyed having them in our home. Emma does the advertising, signage, emailing - everything to make people aware of your sale. They know the value of your belongings and price them to sell, but they don't give away the store!
Not only did we make money from the sale of our belongings, they also offer a optional service where they take away almost every single item that did NOT sell. We took back a few things that we decided to keep after all, but the benefit of having our house cleared of all the things we were not taking with us was indescribable. I just spoke to someone who paid thousands of dollars to have his late mother's belongings cleared out of her house. Knowing that we are spared trips to the Dump, trips to Goodwill, waiting for pickups from other charities - it's all done and they did it!

"Emma and Anthony did an outstanding job. Came in ahead of time, like she said they would, and went through EVERYTHING. Not just what was in our house and garage, but the 25+ tubs we brought back from our storage unit too. They sorted it all out over a few days and then several days prior to the sale set up the entire house to their liking. It was impressive, and I know there was NO way we would have been able to do what they did. It looked like a going out of business sale for a longtime antique shop. Most large things get priced, but a lot of it will get "horse-traded" on the fly. Best to just let them do it.
Honestly can't give you any weak points regarding the whole process. Only advice I can give you is be sure that if there are certain items you don't want sold get them out of the house. People will buy the craziest stuff. Months later we're still going "oh, I guess that got sold, too". Too funny.
In our case, when it was all said and done, she gave us pages of receipts of what went and what it sold for. Didn't really expect that. Thought we'd just get a paper bag of cash (and checks that are from TRUSTED buyers). Our sale took three days, your mileage may vary.
Oh, and get out of the way. Plan on being out of the premises for the duration of the sale. In fact they will insist on this. As basically homebodies this was the hardest part.

I feel fortunate that a friend recommended Emma and Anthony for our estate sale. My sisters and I felt rather overwhelmed with the task of clearing my parents' Westchester home of 60+ years of lovely but eclectic possessions. It was a relief to have these two consummate professionals advise us on what we had, walk us through the world of estate sales, and then do a superior job of staging and running the sale itself. More than the money involved --(and we did make a nice amount!) -- was the certainty that we were dealing with honest, ethical, and thoughtful people.
