The estate sale Theresa handled for me was for my mother's home of 52 years and the home that I grew up in. Needless to say, there were years of treasures stored in that home. Theresa assessed all of the items in the house and provided me with gentle guidance on how to move forward through the estate sale process. One week into the the process, I had to make some adjustments in what to sell and what not to sell. Theresa was professional with the changes that I had to make.

I can't say enough good things about Theresa and her services and team. My situation was not typical. My mom's estate was in Mississippi. Upon the sale of her house, I had parsed through her belongings and brought the keepers back to Austin. They sat in storage until my friend offered upper 2nd floor apartment for my estate sale. This was not ideal due to the second floor arrangement, and the apartment was essentially fully furnished. After considering several estate sale companies, my friend introduced me to Theresa. Although my situation was very challenging, she agreed to take me on as a client. Not only that but she became my friend through the process. She was kind, caring and thoughtful and listened to my stories about my mom as we unpacked the items. Her team was very knowledgeable and efficient in pricing and staging. I had several antique furniture items as well as many boxes of antique collectibles. The split in proceeds was fair and competitive. They ran the sale without my involvement which was a relief. It was hard enough to pick out the treasures we kept and say goodbye to the rest of the items she held dear. I don't think I could have made it through the actual sale to strangers looking for bargains. When I showed up the following week to settle up, she had taken the other items that did not sell (upon our agreement) to Goodwill. She had a check and a treat waiting for me as well as some good stories from the sale. For such a sad and trying process, I couldn't have asked for a better partner to work with. I highly recommend Theresa and her team.

This letter is being written in reference to the estate sale services of Theresa Ponzoha. In late August of 2018, I contacted Theresa to discuss the specifics of an estate sale for a friend who needed to move from his four bedroom home into a one bedroom apartment because of the progression of Alzheimer's. Before our first appointment, Theresa sent me information about her services which included contract information, advertising of previous sales and letters of reference. When Theresa met personally with me, my sister and the homeowner, she assessed items for sale and gave us useful information about which items to place in a sale.

After my friend moved out of his home in late September, Theresa began her pricing, photographing and advertising for the sale which took place the first weekend in November. During the planning and preparation of the sale, Theresa was ver conscientious. She was very organized and communicated well about all the stages of preparation. In addition, she showed great kindness and patience to my friend who was softened confused about the sale.

Theresa's professionalism produced a terrific presentation of the items for sale. I am very pleased with the outcome the sale and Theresa's helpful behavior throughout the entire process. After the sale she took care of donating unwanted items and leaving a clean house. My friend received a check for his profits of the sale quickly.

I would highly recommend Theresa and her work. She made the process easy to understand and earned my trust. I would certainly ask her to do another sale for me if needed.

We chose Theresa to do a family estate sale a couple of moths ago, and she did a wonderful job. She took the time to research our items carefully, and did a very good job of photographing, cataloguing, and listing the items on her webpage. She also showed wonderful patience and flexibility in working with us on logistics, including scheduling and transportation.

In June of 2018 I began the process of cleaning my mother's home. While she was nearing the end of her life and was living in a facility where she was well cared for I, spent a summer pouring through what was a lifetime's worth of hoarding things ranging from items of varying value, either monetary and/or sentimental, to trash. This is when I reached out to Theresa Ponzoha as I knew and estate sale was in my future. She gave me quick tips to discern what would be worth keeping for an estate sale, donating, and recycling/discarding. Her early presence in my overwhelming task gave me great peace.

My mother passed away in early 2019 and Theresa and I began the early stages of planning an estate sale. theresa, with incredible kindness and patience, held my heart in her own as she took me and my family through the process of selling my mother's belongings. I would like to recommend Theresa Ponzoha and her estate sale services. Theresa took care of all of the details of selling our parent’s possessions. My brother Lance, and I, had a very difficult time beginning the process of saying goodbye to all their things and the memories they represented. The process would have taken even longer without her knowledge and help.
Theresa was amazingly strategic. She knew how and where to begin with a house crammed full of a lifetime of possessions. Because Lance and I had to remove what we wanted first she was able to guide us in the process. She knows a lot about the correct prices to charge and would research anything that was needed.
Everything was clearly priced and organized for the sale. I was amazed at how beautifully she displayed all of their treasures. She even made lovely, thematic vignettes. There were clever signs and labels to entice buyers. She knew how to sell my Dad’s old car, which I didn’t think was possible. I was shocked at how much money she was able to bring in. She knows what she is doing.
Probably the most important aspect of this process was Theresa’s care, concern, and empathy for us. She was respectful, sensitive, kind, and patient. It was her idea to ask for some information about my folks in order to tell a story about their lives. I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

I highly recommend Theresa’s Estate Sales Services. A good friend passed away earlier this year and I was named executor of his estate. My friend’s estate was worth about 1.9 million dollars, mostly in investments and his home. My friend’s household and personal possessions were typical for the average 3-4 bedroom home. My friend’s will directed that I liquidate his possessions and donate most of the proceeds to charity. That’s where Theresa comes in!

I contacted two highly rated estate sales services and was turned-off by their impersonal intake process (in fairness, those services may have done an outstanding job with my friend’s estate). Next, I contacted Theresa and immediately got the sense that Theresa’s Estate Services was more than just a business that helps with liquidating estates. Theresa was focused on “who” my friend was. She wanted to know what he liked, his hobbies and his life experiences.

Theresa and her staff were professional and respectful of my friend’s estate every step of the way. They gathered and displayed items in a way that told a story of who my friend was, and that generated interest from buyers. The estate sale went well. It raised money for charity and put useful items in the hands of people with needs and wants. Theresa helped make the unfamiliar task of liquidating an estate, a pleasant and uplifting experience.

Theresa’s Estate Sale Co. (I can’t remember the name of the company but it just should be Therea’s because she is the heart of the crewcut works with her, and they are ALL rock stars in my book) Their devotion to getting the price right which means checking prices on the internet and researching other sales and, honestly, when it came to our artwork, they went above and beyond research. The crew itself all knew each other from their days of teaching and coaching… in that life their paths had crossed and their bond was/is forever.They like each other and despite the camaraderie they are: Present In The Moment. Devoted to doing their best to get the job done. They were; professional, courteous and respectful of our property.

Theresa is a true leader. I always knew that at the end of the day, she was already thinking about the next day and the next. She is a planner and that is what you want. She does not squander time. Theresa has been in the business a long time and her connections spread far and wide which is also essential.

As the sale approached, her experience was invaluable. She was, as one says, “cooking’. My husband and I had total confidence in her and her crew. We knew they were invested in our success. After the sale, Theresa pulled all her resources to sell whatever was overlooked by the crowd. (and believe me there was a crowd which means her PR worked)

I guess one good testament to this group is that I missed them after they were gone. I wanted to hang with them.

Theresa works very hard. She is extremely knowledgeable, organized and bent on having a successful client. Need I say more? Hire her.
