Georgann and her team helped our family so very much. We felt helpless after the death of our family matriarch with the weight of handling the sale of her precious items. Georgann was our main contact, spent weeks going through the house, found things we didn't know existed, saved things that looked precious to our family, packaged up all personal items/documents, and texted about any questions along the way. She laid out a plan, checked off the list, and finished well. My personal favorite was her enthusiasm for some of the things she found and her excitement for having time with them. For the sale, she advertised well, and also staged the house like an antique store. We interviewed several people, did our homework, got a valid referral for her, and couldn't be happier. Georgann and her team at Cottage Classics oversaw the estate sale for my mothers' home recently. Without exception everyone was compassionate and professional.
I was impressed at how they transformed my mothers home from a house with three generations of memories into a sale where everything was arranged, sorted and presented. Prices were researched to be fair and get the best value.
Their merchandising skills were a big part of the success of the sale. Every wall and corner was arranged to flatter items and make sales.
Our questions were answered clearly and reasonably. Georgann has a strong network of clients who look to her sales for specific categories; this helped sell some items as soon as the doors were opened.
Also, this all started just as Covid-19 quarantine started. Georgann was upfront about delays and how that might affect our plan. Despite that, the sale exceeded our expectations substantially. This was because Cottage Classics know their business and worked hard to make the sale the best opportunity possible.
