I cannot say enough about Mike and Marilyn and their wonderful estate sale company! They did an absolutely marvelous job for us as we moved to a new house across town. They were very thorough with all of our items and worked so very hard to get us the best price in everything. Mike’s great research and hard work paid off on so many of our things and Marilyn’s work with the photos and getting it out in the internet allowed so many people to want to come see all the great things that we had.
Our house was for sale at the time and they took such care in making sure the property was in such good shape both during setup and after the sale so that we were able to continue showing the house through the entire process. Again, I would highly recommend them to anyone and look forward to working with them again soon on my parent’s home!

My Dad moved into assisted living some time ago, shortly after broken pipes caused by Winter Storm Uri flooded his house. Over the course of the lengthy renovation and remodeling process, Dad got comfortable with his new accommodations and chose to stay put as opposed to moving back home. "What to do with all his stuff?", was the next dilemma I faced in my efforts to get his house ready for whatever would come next. While taking a visual inventory one morning, the burden associated with the responsibility of disposing of all of my Mom & Dad’s memorabilia, collectibles, toys, tools, family heirlooms and other possessions accumulated over 62 years of marriage, was overwhelming and oppressive.
Mike and Marilyn took on that burden and lifted my spirits shortly thereafter as we were walking through Dad's house and shop one afternoon, when Mike stopped, looked me in the eye and said, "This is going to be a fun estate sale. I mean - there is literally something for everyone.” Mike said he and Marilyn would take care of everything, and that they did; carrying the full weight of the load and doing their work with a level of diligence and genuine compassion, empathy, respect and concern for family dynamics and sentimental items through-out the entire process that was heartwarming and comforting.

Mike and Marilyn are genuinely passionate about what they do and helping the clients they serve. It shows from the minute they walk through the door and continues long after the sale. My Dad and I, my wife, my brothers and my entire family are truly grateful to Mike and Marilyn and could not have been more pleased with their efforts and hard work which resulted in a very successful sale.

Yes! We had a very large estate sale, and we could not have asked for a more trustworthy and dependable company, The Treasure Chest Estate Sale with Mike and Marilyn Rushing and their team. Our mother lived to be 94 years old. She was an avid crafter, especially crochet and quilting. Our Dad had died 10 years earlier. He had collected many different antiques and Mother had kept them all. There were two different locations where the items were stored. Mike and Marilyn agreed to move a lot of our Dad's collection to one location for the sale. It took 6 weeks to move, sort, repair, clean, and price the collection. Under very hot and dusty conditions, they worked tirelessly to get the sale ready. They kept us updated with phones calls and text to assure us all was well. They researched and advertised the sale in great detail. When the day came for the sale, it was a huge success. Afterwards, Mike remained in touch to see what was not sold was carted off so the property could be sold. Give Mike and Marilyn a call for your estate sale. When we say they do it all! We mean it!

From the minute the contract was signed, I felt such a sense relief knowing that they would take good care of my mother's extensive and varied collection of beautiful glassware and all the other treasures that she enjoyed over the years. Many of my family and friends who attended the sale called me to tell me what a wonderful job the Treasure Chest staff was doing and how friendly and respectful, and knowledgeable they were. Because Mike knew the sale was going to be emotionally hard for me, he called often during the sale to check on me and to keep me updated so that I was always informed of how things were going. That helped me tremendously to slowly let go, and I have to say walking into the house at the end of the sale was such a blessed relief - like a burden lifted. Mike and Marilyn and their crew left the house in spotless condition. They sold a huge amount of the items and helped me to find a home for the rest of it. I could not recommend Mike and Marilyn of the Treasure Chest for their Estate Sale skills and for their gifts of kindness, patience, hard work, and compassion more highly. They are beyond 10 stars in my book. Call them - you will not regret it for one second.

Trying to clean out 50+ years of stuff from a parent’s home is never easy. Add on top, the children do not live in the same city. After some research we had someone recommend Treasure Chest Estate Sale. After a few phone conversations with Mike and Marilyn, we had an initial walk through of the home and then we were able to set a date. They were able to get the house prepared for the estate sale without us being there which was huge for us. Weather delayed our sale for a few weeks, but after it was all said and done everything in the house was sold. It was a win win situation all the way around.

Mike and Marilyn were amazing to work with! We hired them to manage the estate sale for my dad’s house. His house was full of stuff, and we were just overwhelmed with it all. Mike and Marilyn sorted through everything, cleaned every item, fixed broken pieces, dusted, swept, and set everything up for the sale. Marilyn is meticulous with staging each room and also taking great photos of the large/unique items for their website. Everything was priced fairly, and they sold almost all of it. We have just a few boxes of items left to donate now and made more money than we anticipated from the sale. We have worked with other companies in the past that overcharged and provided less service. This being our fourth sale with Mike and Marilyn should say it all. However, this last sale required jumping through several hurdles. I was liquidating a vintage shop that I had stored up treasures in for 12 years. Covid had delayed the sale for 2 months and I was down to 2 weeks before the renters were to move in. Road construction was on all sides of my building and the construction crew were everywhere. We were forced to move the sale to the evening when the construction crew were not working. This limited my sale to only 3 hours a day. Rain topped off the sale making an already messy situation into a complete mud slush. Being backed against a wall we plunged forward to empty a 1700 square foot shop packed wall to wall and ceiling to floor. Only the Treasure Chest could have overcome all these obstacles and successfully emptied out my building leaving only 14 totes to be packed up. With our sale delayed several weeks, due to the virus and construction delays in our new residence, they accommodated us with several date changes, fitting us in to their schedule over and over. Mike and Marilyn came through under difficult circumstances and made our sale a success. I was in Dallas in the middle of the pandemic dealing with the death of a family member and had to decide on an estate sale company. It is difficult to evaluate and trust someone in a situation like this but Mike made me comfortable that they knew their stuff and would do the necessary things to maximize the results. They went above and beyond during the pre-sale, even handling some mini-emergencies that I couldn't deal with from out of state. I could never say enough good things about Mike and Marilyn, they are such good people. They were professional and I consider them as my friends. This was my first experience in this type of adventure. They came into a house that was stacked with box’s that were full of Antiques and unusual items. The house had not been lived in for 20 years. You can imagine how it looked. Them and their employees came in, unpacked, and cleaned what needed to be fixed up to make the house presentable. They did an extraordinary job in making the house and all the antiques look great . I cannot believe how hard they worked and the amount of time they dedicated to making this a successful event. Actually, the rating limits us to 5 stars, however should be WAY more!!! The previous testimonials/feedback is directly on point for everything said. You may not find two more delightful, nicer folks. Our (I have a brother and sister) mother died in Dec. 2018. As the others have said, we were faced with the overwhelming task of disposing of a collection of both parents things. We simply researched the estate sale people and found Mike and Marilyn at The Treasure Chest. Upon a phone call which was immediately answered, an instant connection was felt and they did a wonderful job of making us feel comfortable and organizing everything. We had already sold the house, so we were on a short time line. They pulled together a VERY successful sale within a week and kept me fully informed and CALM! When my brother passed away in October in Texas, my family and I were faced with the what seemed to be a monumental task. Because we lived in other states, it made the task even more difficult, considering limited time to spend in Texas and no knowledge of local resources. Following a Google search, one of my daughters found The Treasure Chest Estate Sales, and Mike and Marilyn. I met with them in late October when I was to finalize some matters, and made an instant connection with them. They let me know everything they would do to help make a successful sale of household items accumulated, not only from my brother, but our parents as well, going back 50+ years. Following the meeting with them, we established a sale date for January, 2019, and I felt immediately felt a tremendous burden had been lifted off my shoulders. Throughout the process, both Mike and Marilyn went more than above and beyond in their preparation for the sale, which also continued afterwards to continue to dispose of and/or sell items left, some usable and some not. They earned every bit that they made and you could not ask for a more honest company . I was staying at the house for about a week when they came in and started getting ready, it was like having family there. Marilyn and Mike - pleasant couple to work with. Very caring about 'personal items' retrieved during their painstaking task of sorting through/setting up sale of loved person's items. These two are quite knowledgeable, going to the extent of researching true value of items prior to sale. Their organizing is commendable: Setting up of tables, presentation of like items...quite impressive. ...I had a LOT of tables/shelves: more than 30 years of possessions to be sorted/organized.
