Established by Gale Curcio over a decade ago, Amy Andrews leads the Sale by Gale team to provide homeowners with a personalized experience in finding new homes for their lifetime of treasures.
Amy and her team analyze the contents of the client's home and determine if it warrants a one, two or three-day sale. After the site visit, a detailed contract is sent to the client to review and sign with the dates for their sale. We welcome questions and comments throughout the sale process.
SALE by GALE has a staff of 15 competent and professionals assistants, who work with customers to ensure a great shopping experience.
SALE by GALE is well-known in the Alexandria/Northern Virginia area and has an extensive mailing list and regular customer base.

As trustee/executor of a home bulging with collectables and useful items gathered over the decades, I sought out estate sale companies. The first assured me that most of it was junk, and that I could pay them to dispose of it. The second wanted nothing to do with it because it was “too labor-intensive.” The third wanted the job, but could not assure me that the estate would break even.
Then I found Gale Curcio who owns Sale by Gale. She carefully inspected the contents of the scores of boxes upon boxes that filled the house and sheds, and encouraged me by concluding that this was a “collective gold mine.” What I struggled with for months, she and her crew turned chaos into absolute organized serenity within 3-4 days. The sale was a huge success! (I have had to resist the temptation to contact the other company reps to gloat about the thousands of dollars netted by the estate contents that they dismissed as “junk” or too difficult.)
I am very thankful that I found Sale by Gale, and have been recommending her to everyone that I know who wants to sell their personal property.

SALE by GALE, a talented team of knowledgeable, highly organized and caring people, is the absolute best go-to team if you are planning a big move or need to clean an estate/house prior to sale. They know exactly how to organize and professionally present items from little assorted knick-knacks, jewelry, tools, housewares, clothes, linens, furniture and holiday decorations - to valuable antiques, crystal, china and sports memorabilia. We could not imagine even attempting to do what Gale's team did so smoothly and efficiently over the four days leading up to the weekend sale or managing the flow of people, sales and removal of items during the actual sale days. We highly recommend SALE by GALE if you need to clear a house/estate with the least amount of stress and effort on your own part. We also recommend taking advantage of the post-sale assistance Gale offers (auction and thrift store pick-up, movers/trash removal) to help clear any remaining items not sold.

I just completed a "Sale by Gale" at my old home and want to tell you: They totally earned a 100% ***RAVE REVIEW***!! Talk about peace of mind! After our move, I was able to leave everything behind that I didn't want and Gale's team took over like a super well-oiled machine! They happily and efficiently went through everything, organized it in an attractive manner around the house, and put up clear signage for sale-goers. They also have **extensive** experience in terms of pricing. They marry their vast knowledge (after decades in this business) with research online, when necessary. In a number of cases, they got us more $$ than we ever could have guessed (or would have priced things at had we been doing this on our own!). A massive majority of our possessions sold and, what didn't, THEY are handling: donating a large %; sending some to auction on our behalf; and trashing what little didn't fall into either category. As I said: we are 100% THRILLED with our experience! Their commission is totally earned and extremely reasonable, in my opinion. ***Don't waste your time and energy - use SALE BY GALE.
