Bring a touch of Regency-era grandeur to your holiday vignette with Department 56’s “Royal Stock Exchange”—a scarce, one-year-only release from the Dickens’ Village Series (SKU 56.58480). Introduced in December 2000 and retired just twelve months later, this hand-cast, hand-painted porcelain landmark is modeled after London’s neoclassical Royal Exchange, complete with fluted Corinthian columns, a pedimented portico, carved garland friezes, and snow-dusted balustrades.
Dimensions: approx. 7¾ "H × 10 "W × 6½ "D
Materials: glazed porcelain with pierced windows for interior illumination (standard Dept. 56 light cord not included).
Condition: excellent vintage—no chips, cracks, or repairs; minimal evidence of display.
Hallmarks: underside stamped “Dickens’ Village Series ‘Royal Stock Exchange’ ©Department 56 2000.”
Style it as the financial heart of your Dickens’ Village streetscape, or let the classical architecture shine solo on a bookshelf, mantel, or console for year-round Anglophile charm.
