Killer Kaleva 100 Year Sale!!! This Finnish family settled in Kaleva in the 1910s. Young children when they arrived, the grandparents eventually met, fell in love and married during the Depression. They moved to Detroit but returned in 1946 to buy the eighty-acre Kaleva farm where our client was raised. He grew up, got his engineering degree at Wayne State and worked in the bustling auto industry in Detroit in the 1960s and beyond. But the family ties and allure of Kaleva remained and, nearly 40 years ago, he returned and purchased the lovely home where our sale is set....
