     This sale is in a highrise condo unit at Watergate at Landmark, where we have done many sales thanks to the realtor, Susan Day, of Jobin Realty.  This unit is one of the larger ones, located at the end of the hallway on the 15th floor.  This time, we are pleased to offer you some items from Thailand and southeast Asia.  You may recognize the very pleasing smell of camphor wood, which was used to make two of the brass-studded chests we have in this sale.  A very heavy but graceful cast metal Thai musician sits on top of a reproduction cabinet done in goldtone foliate designs over black lacquer as was characteristic in Thailand for some time.  The vintage carved teak and marble-topped bar is in the dining room.  Clear resin coffee table and side tables are in the living room, sitting on figured carpets.  Very rare and fine are the nielloed sterling silver flatware and serving pieces that you will find in the dining room.  

      Other highlights include a huge quantity of high-end costume jewelry and a full-length fox fur coat.   You will have an opportunity to peruse and select from 20 "collected but never opened" Steiff animals, mostly bears, brand new in their original boxes of bags.  You will discover many Star Wars collectibles, most "brand new" and unopened.  We also have autumn-theme items for you:  pumpkins, table runner, Mr. Turkey.  Since we found one in the condo unit, you will see the first Christmas tree of the year in this sale as well.  We set it up on the balcony.

     You stamp collectors may enjoy going through very large binders of stamps from all over the world.  For sports lovers, we have several signed baseballs, a football, and other sports memorabilia.  Of particular interest to people who have been or wish to go to Africa, we offer a FINE vintage cast bronze statue of a Masaii female warrior done my Casa Padrino of Germany.  First Dibs offers one (missing the shield) at $4,500. In addition, you will be able to purchase a large sketch of a handsome standing Masaii male by Kevin Donaldson (look him up).  Another cast bronze is of the jazz musician Miles Davis playing his trumpet.  Continuing the jazz theme, we offer you four framed poster-size photographs of Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Door, and John Coltrane.  Look at our three FINE Mughal-style reproduction paintings.  They are very intricate.  Who will take home the enormous aluminum fish platter that we have put on the living room sofa?

     This apartment has a very large closet in the master bedroom.  We have moved a lot of the clothes there but ran out of space, so you will find more, men and women's, and the closet of the second bedroom.  We counted over 70 pairs of footware.
