Magnolia Whole House Auction Steven Malum Erickson had a lifelong interest in Chinese culture and painting. Afforded an opportunity to visit China as a student at the University of Minnesota Duluth, Mr. Erickson attended the Chinese Academy of Arts training programs for the study of Chinese landscape painting in Hangzhou, under the guidance of artists such as Lu Yanshou and Sha Menghai. At his home in Seattle, he hosted Chinese artists who visited the United States.
