Konnie Saliba was professor emeritus of music at the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN, where she directed the Master of Music degree program with a concentration in Orff-Schulwerk. An accomplished pianist and accompanist, she received degrees from Illinois Wesleyan (BMuEd) and Southern Methodist University (MM-Piano Performance). Konnie, together with Nancy Ferguson, started the Orff Schulwerk music program, (combining music, movement, drama and speech) in Memphis City Schools. From 1968 to 1974, Konnie served as both the Assistant Director of the Memphis Orff program and taught elementary music at Snowden School. In 1974, the University of Memphis Department of Music...
