This is a spectacular Baggia Annico of Italy inlaid commode. The commode is designed in the Louis XV style and features an optical illusion (op-art) courtyard scene with figures standing above the court. The level of expertise it takes to make these kinds of inlaid pieces is above and beyond the normal inlay we always see. The bronze and marble are of the finest quality and the case is in good condition as is the marble top. The piece is shown with its original makers mark on back. Dimensions: 35.75 inches high x 54 inches wide x 22.5 inches deep
