TITLE: Unique Antique American Gothic Leopard Print Arm Chairs
SUBJECT: A Pair of Jacobean Leopard Print Chairs
MEDIUM: Carved Hardwood Frames Upholstered with Leopard Print Fabric
DIMENSIONS: 50 x 24 x 20
CIRCA: Late 19th C.
ATTRIBUTION: American Manufacture
DESCRIPTION: This is a fine pair of formal drawing room chairs of Jacobean style.
The tall backs are crowned with elaborate head rails and supported with Jacobean twist
supports and heavy upholster-padded arms. The frame stretches supporting the seat
are also of Jacobean twist design, and sit on short, square-sectioned legs.
CONDITION: The frames appear to have retained their original finish, and are very
solid.
